Disgusting Raw Pastry. Re Gregg's, Kingston, Milton Keynes. We thought we would experience the famous sausage rolls. Absolutely awful. We also purchased a beef and vegetable pasty. This actually nearly made me sick. I took one bite and could not swallow it. Started to choke, as it got stuck in my throat. The pastry was raw inside the pasty at the end. I didn't see any filling, just raw pastry inside So quietly I returned this to the assistant who offered to exchange and said if that was raw inside I could have a refund. I took one bite of the second one where the pastry was thinner, but the filling was gloopy, bland, disgusting. I have had these before from another store and it was better than this one although all in all you get what you pay for. These are cheap (£2.20) mass produced, with cheap ingredients. Will I bother again. No, never. So the products for this visit get 1 ☆ although, if I could I would give non. The quality of the cooked pie products have certainly gone down hill with the popularity of the...
Read moreThis has to be one of the worst operated Greggs that I have had the pleasure of visiting.
It's 7.30 on a Saturday morning (prime time for the breakfast rush) so you'd think they have 1. the staff to accommodate one thier busiest periods and 2. enough sausages and bacon so fulfil orders.
Oh no no no no..... with only one team member on the front line and a queue at least 5 customers, the wait was near enough 15 mins.
fine, I'll hang on. So after placing my order with the manager and paying for it, I'm then advised that thier are insufficient number of sausages to fulfil the order. Ok, can I get bacon instead... . 'no. there's not enough of it and I need to wait 9 mins for sausages and 4 for bacon'. I had already committed to my 2 items so too late to turn back and I'm sure getting a refund would be painful.
please avoid (unless you'd like to be served by rude staff and love waiting 30mins for something that should no more than...
Read moreMalicious staff, contaminates treats / pastries bags by smearing their fingers all over the inside then placing your order into them. It's not that difficult to open the bags. I worked in a similar place. She put her entire hand in there like she was looking for something. Front and back. Contaminated. Gosh I just want to eat something sweet with my coffee without having somebody's fingers on my stuff. I didn't want to hold up the unbearably long line since although two staff were present, only one was taking orders. I don't want to seek legal advice if I get sick. Please just be more diligent and treat your customers...
