Tim Hortons, Canada's iconic coffee and quick-service restaurant, has found a welcoming home in the UK, and its Milton Keynes locations are popular spots. It positions itself as an affordable alternative to other major coffee chains, focusing on coffee, donuts, and a range of hot food.
A reliable, budget-friendly option for a quick coffee, snack, or simple meal. It's great for what it is: a fast, consistent, and inexpensive pit-stop. Don't expect artisanal coffee or gourmet food, but for a satisfying treat or a fast lunch, it hits the spot. The Milton Keynes locations are typically modern, bright, and functional. You'll find a mix of seating, tables for groups, comfy chairs, and often high stools. It's a common meeting place for teens, a quick break for shoppers, and a lunch spot for workers. It can be quite busy and noisy during peak times.
Service is fast and counter-based. You order, get a number, and your hot food is brought to you. For just drinks and pastries, it's very quick. The staff are generally efficient.
The menu is a mix of Canadian classics and items tailored for the UK market.
· Coffee: The core offering. It's a classic filter coffee, known for being smooth and consistent. The "Double Double" (double cream, double sugar) is a famous order. They also offer lattes, cappuccinos, and iced coffees.
· Timbits: The star of the show! These are bite-sized doughnut holes available in various flavours like Honey Dip, Chocolate, and Sour Cream Glazed. Perfect for sharing.
· Doughnuts: A wide variety of classic ring doughnuts and filled doughnuts. They are generally soft, sweet, and crowd-pleasing.
· Breakfast: A major draw. Their breakfast wraps, sandwiches, and bagels are served all day and are very popular for a hot, filling, and cheap start.
· Lunch: The menu includes wraps, melts (toasted sandwiches like the Chicken Club Melt), soups, and sandwiches. The quality is on par with other fast-food chains.
Price Range: very Affordable, this is Tim Hortons' biggest advantage in the UK. It is significantly cheaper than competitors like Starbucks or Costa. You can get a coffee and a doughnut for well under £5.
Tim Hortons in Milton Keynes is a solid choice for a no-fuss, budget-friendly coffee and snack. It's the perfect place for: · A quick, cheap morning coffee. · Grabbing a box of Timbits to share. · Getting a hot, all-day breakfast on the go. · A meeting spot that won't break the bank.
Manage your expectations: It's not a specialty coffee shop or a gourmet bakery. It's a successful fast-food chain that does simple things well at a great price. If you're looking for a reliable, inexpensive pit-stop in Milton Keynes, Tim Hortons is...

£5.19 for a regular burger. Brioche bun was smashed down too hard. No cardboard box around the burger to protect it, which is very cheap of them not to give! Just a lame foil wrap.
No mustard or ketchup on offer? Eh?! On a burger! Not offered!
No onion or pickles on offer!?
But I have to pay for cheese that comes as standard (that I'm allergic to) yet get no discount for not including it.
It was just a burger, with too much ice cold lettuce in it (making for a nice fresh cold burger), smothered in a basic mayo and ketchup mixed sauce. It tasted better than Five Guys, but wasn't cooked as nicely as say Burger King. The meat quality was good but nothing special. Not seasoned enough.
For £5.19 I could have gotten 5 hamburgers at McDonald's for less with onions, ketchup and mustard and extra pickle. Way more of a meal and more calories. The burgers just weren't juicy or crispy or nicely cooked and what you were handed just didn't add up to £5.19 in value.
Doughnuts were extortionate at well over £3 each, much more than Krispy Creme at Tesco across the road!
Drinks a minimum of £3.29!
Overall I don't think I'll ever go back to Tim Horton's, because the quality was just nothing special, and the choices extremely limited and prices extortionate for the size of burger you get. The servers English was also poor, and seemed to not know the companies products or seemed unwilling to tell the truth about them. Burgers are only medium sized like a Whopper or Big Mac. They also don't accept cash inside either, which is just stupid as it's legal tender.
I seriously don't recommend you go to this burger outlet, so it goes out of business asap and stops leading a trend for overpriced burger outlets, of terrible quality.
Also it's painfully obvious most of the reviews here are fake, as look at the names and question why they're eating beef, burgers or...
Read moreI’ll be very honest here, the staff are extremely rude. Was trying to just grab some drinks and food as it was my first time going to Tim Hortons, there was some form of shakes on the menu and I just wanted to very simply ask if they were blended or not. I was standing at front counter for a good 5+ minutes for someone to come, people at back was just..staring at me? 😭 I felt well awkward but here we are, had to shout over to ask for someone to come and they scrambled around like how that scene of ratatouille where the person catches the rats in the kitchen and they all scramble 🤣 best way to explain it! Someone eventually comes and I ask them the pretty simple question of…”is the shakes blended or are they like milk?” This lady just pauses like she’s seen a ghost behind me runs back into the ratatouille kitchen and grabs someone else, for this other lady to come for me to repeat my very awesome question of “is the shakes blended or are they like milk?” May I say in a more annoyed tone 🙏 and she just said “uhh..no..no” like Consuela from family guy. Anyways I go back to ordering, as one does when they are at a fast food place, and grabs a shake..may i say it came out blended 😭!? What!? She lie 😭
Literally no one understood me I swear, maybe I was talking French at the time though last time I checked I’m a fully British woman who only knows English and I think I can speak it pretty well, don’t know why tho 😞..maybe my question wasn’t simple enough? Anyways, we left with the stuff, the doughnuts are rock hard and not for me personally, only good thing was the chicken wrap, that was bomb! Defo get it if you never feel brave enough to walk in there ‼️ . (P.s. my shake was blended more then it was in a blender, and very sweet) Have a...
