Caffè Nero — Restaurant in New Forest

Popped in for a coffee today and as usual, the place was filthy yet staff were managing to chat whilst tables really needed clearing! So much so that people were clearing their own tables and taking the the trays up to them!! Anyway, I asked for a piece of cheesecake for my partner and specified I'd like the middle piece of the three on show as the other two had a big chunk of the corner missing only to be told by some girl that thought she was 'special' that I couldn't have it! I either had to have the slice nearest her that was damaged or none at all!?? How can that be right? We either have to pay full price for a slice that had a chunk missing or have nothing! Needless to say, we declined to have anything so money lost there for them! Anyway, probably did my partner a favour as hygiene wise, it is not great. One of the girls that did then come out to clear tables petted a dog but I didn't see her wash her hands when she got back behind the counter! Won't be returning, will be supporting locally owned coffee shops in future instead of big chains.... dreadful customers service Cafe Nero and your staff should learn what customer...

Awful service. Staff seem unenthusiastic and a bit dazed and confused. Made my coffee, but i was then waiting nearly 10 minutes for my second drink to be made whilst 2 others got served inbetween my order being produced. All the cakes are labled wrong. The pork sausage rolls on show are actually some vegan thing. I just felt sorry for the people in the queue behind me as they will be there for 20 minutes before they even get served..
