Coffee was good but what rude staff, really terrible experience and would not go back. Got my order wrong (which as a barista myself, happens and is understandable), when I politely let them know, the staff member snatched my coffee back while two of them glared at me from the other side of the counter. They then remade my coffee using the wrong milk after I had reiterated for it to be regular cows milk, and just held it in the air at me, not even replying to me after I said sorry for the inconvenience and thank you. As someone who’s worked in hospitality for the last 8 years, people who don’t have people skills shouldn’t be doing this job, and it’s disappointing to see people like this in such a people focused line of work. Incredibly disappointed with the service provided here today. They did not cater for dietary requirements. The person I visited with could not eat brown bread and asked if it was possible to have one of the toasties they offer with white bread (cheese and ham). Due to other dietary restrictions, the person could not eat the other white bread toastie that was available pre-made as they cannot eat tomato. The lady working there said it was not possible to make another as they didn't have any white bread, whilst stood in front of a bakery section full of white bread, really dissapointing. We popped in 10 minutes before closing and the lovely colleagues were still more than happy to serve our drinks, even though I was worried they’d already cleaned the coffee machine! We had a tropical smoothie and an iced mocha. Both were lovely as were the cookies we also bought.
