My experience at this Cornish pastry place in Lymington was disappointing on every level. Upon entering, the tables were covered with dirty plates and glasses from previous customers, and none of the staff seemed to care about cleaning them. I even tried to clear the table myself, only to feel uncomfortable under the staff’s unfriendly stares. Ordering an espresso at the café counter turned out to be another nightmare. The staff didn’t even know what an espresso was and kept asking if I wanted a latte or something else. When I finally received the drink, it was undrinkable and overly acidic. The worst part, however, was the bathroom. It was dirty and neglected, and despite repeated requests for cleaning, we were completely ignored and had to manage on our own. As for customer service, telling people that "what you see at the counter is what we have" is not an acceptable response. A menu is a basic necessity for any business that claims to be professional. Lowering your prices by a mere 5p compared to competitors won’t put you at the top if you don’t even understand what it means to work in hospitality. I will never return, and I cannot recommend this...

Came in as 3 adults and 2 children after lunch period. It wasn't very busy but 3 tables were still covered in used plates. Someone said they'd clear a table but didn't come back until I'd already cleared it myself (which I didn't mind doing but they didn't even return to wipe it down). I had a ploughmans brioche bun which had very wilted salad in it which was disappointing given it was over £5. The coffee was also really disappointing for the price - smaller cup than in a Costa and no better flavour. Also the window was covered in mould. My husband saw a Lemon and Summer Berry Danish at the counter which was covered in fruit flies. Also couldn't see a food hygiene rating displayed (although I'm...

OMG the new Apple crumble scone that was recommended by the Store Manager was an incredible! I can’t emphasise enough how delicious and unique this experience was, I have never even heard of an apple crumble scone. The scone was fluffy and buttery, covered with lots of crumble mix, it is a beautiful balance between sweet and savoury.

CAN SOMEBODY FIND THE INDIVIDUAL THAT CREATED THIS ITEM AND PUT THEM FORWARD FOR AN MBE!

As always the coffee at the Cornish Bakery is number 1, best cappuccinos ever! The Head Barista Jack delivers an exceptional service every time, the man creates perfection in a cup full of caffeine...

I had a lovely visit to the Cornish Bakery in Lymington today for a quick coffee on my way back from work. The atmosphere was busy yet comforting and I was greeted by happy smiling faces. I ordered a chocolate caramel latte and was blown away by the amazing latte art carried out by Jack who was on Coffee that day (photo below). Sitting in the comfortable warm window seat I thoroughly enjoyed my beverage whilst watching the cold wet holiday makers make their way up the highstreet. BEST COFFEE EVER CANT LIE. Will be back with haste!
