What a place! My mum lives this way, i'm still close to London. We come in to Lymington a few times a month, pretty mich each time i viait and today i topk the reigns and suggested we try The Larder. Service was second to none Food that lovely Pricing was pretty reasonable also . I'll be back plenty more! Updated 25th April 25 Been trying to get back here Had a phenomenal butternut squash, coconut and ginger soup today, accompanied by a top draw sausage roll. Where I live I am luck enough to have several Michelin recommended and star'd places and the food here is easily as good. The only disappointed today was to see some few people here on a Friday lunchtime, I can no fathom how there is not a fight to get a table. If you see this review, don't hesitate, don't wait, just go, pla especially like this need to thrive- you won't find better for miles and miles around and I say that having come in from 100 miles away and made a beeline for it!

We have just discovered this little gem just off lymington high street. Perfect for just a coffee, lunch or tappas. So impressed to see the passion and enthusiasm displayed by the owner/chef freshly preparing his amazing selection of tappas to be served this evening. The extensive menu choice of tappas was incredible and tasted winderful. Such a welcome change from the typical ‘pub grub’ served these days! Great atmosphere and enjoyed socialising with the customers. We will certainly be returning. Thank you for a very memorable evening

A bit too lard. I chose smoked salmon and scrambled eggs for a brunch one Monday morning in summer. The rather ordinary dish was transformed by the drizzle of butter over the eggs. Did I say drizzle? More like a downpour. The dough, already sour, turned boggy. The service was good, pot of tea was nice. All good value. But the afternoon lay heavily on me, as did the brunch.

What an absolute gem this place is, firstly the welcome from the owners really kick starts an amazing atmosphere. Breakfast menu is great and the flexibility even more appreciated, Lovely coffee backs up the great food. We were fortunate enough to do breakfast and the tapas in the evening, and wow, the evening was amazing, again the owners adding to this amazing atmosphere, but the food, oh my, its like a little slice of Spain. Sitting outside, while eating lovely spider crab and saffron croquettes has memories of sitting in Mahon Harbour all over it. But don't stop there, the deli meat stew, this is an absolute must, lovely smoky flavour, just so tasty. A real surprise though the crema of iberico ham with mandarin oil on sourdough bread, wow so simple but the flavour, absolutely stunning. All topped off with some great cinnamon sugar churros, god we rolled out of this place. If you're in lymington, please do not miss out something exceptional, and fun. We will be back, a threat, maybe, a promise,...

Everything, from the food, to the atmosphere, to the incredible and friendly staff was perfect! I came in for brunch first, and had some lovely hummus and roasted veggies on toast. The food was high quality and delicious. During brunch, my friends and I met Carl (or Carlos!) the chef and owner. His passion for food and gregarious personality made us come back a few days later for tapas for dinner! The restaurant was full despite the gloomy evening. All the guests were enjoying their food enormously, chatting to each other and Carl. The atmosphere was amazing. As for the food, we ate so much we almost passed out. The crab and saffron croquettes are a must! The patatas bravas came with the most spectacular tomato sauce (which they sell by the bottle so of course we got some)! The star of the show was the smoked chicken, which was gnawed right off the bone. If you’re in lymington, you would be crazy to miss this place, either for...
