The Railway Inn — Restaurant in Newcastle-under-Lyme

I came here last weekend after recently moving to the area, first impression was ok until we were rudely served by the member of staff behind the bar which I am guessing because we were not a regular we didn't get the customer service she gave to the other customers in the pub.

Toilets weren't the cleanest I've seen in a pub and the decor is actually okay it's just a shame for the few members of staff and some of the locals that were very intimidating and the fact they didn't hide the issue of drug taking in the pub later in the evening made us drink our drinks quickly and leave!

Shame because it has great potential but we shall not be returning...

Very rude bar girl.... Me and my boyfriend missed our stop on our train and had no battery on his phone... We bought 2 drinks and 2 bags of crisps so we could charge our phones. She then had the audacity to come over and ask if we were buying anymore drinks otherwise if not to stop charging our phones.

Would not recccomend if you like a friendly...

Great place for a drink and a chat. Great staff and great people to mix with. Disco and karaoke either Friday or Saturday night. A fantastic pool table , events covered with themes,such as Halloween, Christmas party etc. The railway Inn is a great local pub and...
