A Delightful Culinary Experience Worth Revisiting.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Al Sham, and I must express my utmost satisfaction with the overall experience. From the moment we entered Al Sham, it became evident that we were in for a memorable culinary journey.
Accompanied by two guests, we opted for a selection of dishes that truly showcased the culinary prowess of Al Sham. The Biryani Chicken, with its harmonious blend of fragrant spices, was a true delight for the senses. The Shawarma Chicken Arabi impressed us with its succulent, tender meat and the perfect balance of flavors. As a sweet ending to our meal, the Konafa provided a heavenly fusion of textures and sweetness.
The service we received throughout our visit was exemplary. The staff at Al Sham exhibited professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine warmth, ensuring that every aspect of our dining experience was attended to with care. They were knowledgeable about the menu, accommodating to dietary preferences, and readily available to offer recommendations.
The ambiance of Al Sham added to the overall enjoyment of our meal. The tastefully designed interior, coupled with a clean and comfortable setting, created an atmosphere that was both inviting and conducive to a pleasurable dining experience. Notably, the absence of excessive background noise allowed for intimate conversations without any disruptions.
Based on our exceptional culinary journey, attentive service, and the inviting ambiance at Al Sham, I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to discerning diners. The commitment to culinary excellence, paired with the outstanding level of service, positions Al Sham as a remarkable gem within the dining landscape.

Read moreAbout the food, I ordered the lamb shish. I've been to many kebab restaurants, and here it cost £16.50—making it expensive lamb shish (it was even pricier than a highly-rated kebab place in central Copenhagen). Despite the high price, the portion of lamb was the smallest I’ve seen. Although there were eight pieces (presumably two skewers), each piece was very small. On top of that, the serving time was extremely long—I waited about 40 minutes. Regarding the environment, it was really noisy during my meal, mainly because there was a baby who kept crying the entire time. I was very hungry, and after waiting nearly 40 minutes for my food, the waitress opened the front door—likely to let out the smoke from grilling—making the restaurant somewhat cold inside. Just imagine: I was starving, cold, and had a constantly crying baby nearby. It was truly miserable. As for the service, the lady who took my order was very friendly, but she just couldn't remember my requests. When ordering, she asked if I wanted cold or hot water, and I said hot water. Yet during the entire 40-minute wait, no water was served at all. When the food finally came, I reminded her about the water, and she brought me a glass of cold water instead. This wasn’t a one-off mistake, because I saw a family at the next table arguing with the waitress about receiving the wrong dishes. Eventually, the boss intervened, redid their order, and gave them a complimentary dish to appease their dissatisfaction. Finally, when I went to pay, the lady at the register repeatedly asked me to scan a Google Review QR code and leave a positive review, which felt very pushy and made me uncomfortable—especially given the long wait time, the disappointing food, and the overly noisy environment. I do not recommend...

The interior is tastefully decorated with traditional Lebanese elements, including ornate lanterns and a water Fountain from Lebanon. The soft, ambient lighting creates a relaxed and intimate setting, perfect for both casual dinners and special occasions.
From the moment we arrived, the staff at Alsham made us feel like valued guests. Our waiter was exceptionally friendly and attentive, offering insightful recommendations and ensuring our dining experience was seamless. The service was prompt, and we had the owner himself checking on us to make sure everything was to our liking and that it self was special.
The menu at Alsham is a testament to the diversity and richness of Lebanese cuisine, featuring a variety of dishes that cater to different tastes and dietary preferences. We started with the starters and the mezze, which included an array of appetisers such as creamy hummus, mutable, tangy tabbouleh, and perfectly fried kibbeh. Each dish was prepared with fresh ingredients and presented beautifully.
To conclude our meal, we enjoyed a piece of baklava and a mint tea. And they were on the house.
