Firstly in response to a previous comment about the food being bland, I have no idea what they are comparing this to but on our visit the food was anything but bland. So much flavour it was mouthwatering. For starters my wife went out of her comfort zone and had the Asperagi e Patata, I had the mussels. For mains my wife had Sausic, I had Calzone Pizza which is the first time I have had it in the traditional form where was the tomato sauce that is normally inside my pizzas is actually served as a side dish which you can drizzle over the pizza as desired, as is traditional in Naples where the pizza originated. So I actually learned something on this visit as well. We did have a dessert. My wife had a bit of sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream and honeycomb sauce I remember she said it was delicious and I had Tiramisu. So tasty. All of our food was bursting with flavour. My wife is specially what's absolutely blown away with the flavours of the food she was eating. We spoke to the lady at the park area at the end of the night when we were paying our bill who I believe was maybe the manager or even maybe the owner. She was telling us how it was 35 years this month that the restaurant opened, and previously had a different name. I would like to point out every single member of the staff was so friendly and polite and were available if you had any problems or questions. They didn't linger around your table, but were just occasionally walking by in case you needed anything. We definitely would not have any hesitation about going back and have already recommended it to some of our friends. There is one thing I feel I need to point out about this restaurant though. You do need to climb some stairs to get to the restaurant as it is located on the first floor and I did not notice any lift so if you are wheelchair bound or have mobility issues stopping you from climbing stairs this will not be suitable.

More seafood than I care to see again, but muscles for starters, seafood pasta for mains, all for £19.95. Unreal! Alison got a Patata, what I only describe as a cold potato salad? Amazing with the goats cheese! And a tasty pancetta rigatoni, half pint pots of lemonchello, great wine and walked away thinking I’d robbed them. Fantastic prices, unreal food, friendly service. Not often we get out, but with her operation on Monday, I felt it was needed to make the special girl feel special. ❤️

A popular restaurant on Gosforth High street for good reason - proper Italian food and lovely setting with good service. The sauces are full of lovely complex mixes of flavours and the pasta is perfect. Recommend the starter and main deal too

Lovely, friendly staff. A little dated in atmosphere but cosy. I took my octogenarian parents there for their first post lockdown meal and I am sorry to say it was really poor. My father chose his favourite carbonara, and when it arrived, it was brown, greasy and unappetising. It was returned politely, the chef apparently agreed and the meal was refunded without issue. What we didn't complain about was the bland, loveless, tepid cannelloni, the basic and salty lasagne, the bruschetta made from scatterings of stuff on dry bread, the fried calamari with no dip. In a restaurant, where food is your livelihood, it should absolutely be your passion. This was functional and rushed. But the staff WERE lovely... I would give...

The waiter lady didn’t seem happy like she didn’t want to be there, fair enough its Friday evening. A menu on A4 sheet of printer paper displays on the top left special starter and main * only options for £18.95. A salad starter with mozzarella tastes of something but very bland. My Main - pollo pasta carbonara - the pasta was undercooked. I had to send it back a meek apology and a replacement with a calzone pizza; give them their due they said it would take 10minutes they did it in less. Bill for 11 people no discount or price off for one of the meals. Portions small, but at least make them taste nice, its pizza and pasta! Average, with so much competition the place needs a...
