Nice food, but that was about it! We were a group of 8 professional ladies from gosforth. We had pre booked for drinks and nibbles for 5.30pm. At 7.09pm we were told by one of the staff to keep the noise down as there were other customers we should consider! We naturally assumed someone had complained but it turned out they hadn’t. So if you’re looking for a good time and a giggle this is not the place for you. If you have the personality of a gold fish or like to sit miserable crying into your glass of wine surrounded by misery then this will be right up...

Carruthers and Kent created a cheese tower for wedding and we couldn't recommend them highly enough! We wanted to find someone local who could make the 'cake', and having visited C+K for wine and cheese/charcuterie boards many times previously, they were an easy choice. We had a lovely tasting appointment to decide on the cheeses and were given many many options. The collection process was smooth, and all the guests commented on how delicious the cheeses had been! Thank you so much...

Whether I’m looking to cry into my wine, try to remember what my plans were (with a goldfish memory) or enjoying a glass or two with my wife, this is the best place in Newcastle for wine!

All of the staff are friendly and know more about wine and cheese than I do about anything! An absolute favourite for us to introduce our family and friend to, there are few better places to enjoy wine this...
