KFC Cowgate - Ponteland Road — Restaurant in Newcastle upon Tyne

I was there on 14.06.22 at around 6.30 pm just to get chicken fillet for about 45 minutes. Being a restaurant manager I felt uncomfortable and so disappointed about the way the crew behave and worked during the peak hours which was so unorganised and inefficient. If I outline the negative side in point form; Manager was clueless about how to get rid of the bottleneck. Many people were on the line but lack delegation and communication. Customer service was awful and the cashier treated the customer as if they came here to get the chicken free of charge. Didn't give equal attention to both drive-thru and in-store customers as I waited to be served for around 25 min with just 2 people in the front and another 20min to collect my order. 4 girls were there at the front one was taking orders two were having fun and clueless about what they were doing. And one south Asian-looking girl was placing all orders like a machine by herself. Ps: I'm just giving you two stars as this is the closest...

Is this branch full off new starters only? There’s nothing wrong with that, but at least give them proper training (basic things like: knowing the menu?!) I’ve been served by a guy who struggled to take an order (with a huge menu in front of him). Couple of minutes later, received the wrong order. It’s ok, happens to everyone. Been asked to speak to a manager, because obviously the staff couldn’t do that. After some apologies, I’ve been informed there’s no hash browns, so we’ll have to wait couple of minutes. Which was ok, but 5 minutes became 25. Again, didn’t say nothing about the time; happy to finally leave. The guy runs with the order, apologises again with a big smile on his face (good tactic to change my mood). Until I got home and half of the order wasn’t in the bag (no drinks, no dips, no chicken wings). Technically paid for a 25 minutes wait in...

Disgusting ran out of most of the food. When we got our food it was cold. Chips had a few hot ones in where they had been mixed up to combat the heat. Xmas box meal hardly any cranberry the chicken that was in was cold burnt and had been sitting for some time.

I'd say the only thing that was hit was the corn on the cob. A member of staff (I presume was a member) walked in from outside wirh his coat and rug sack on his back went into the cooking area talking to other staff without changing his clothes. Another member of staff (I had clear view of the kitchen ) was messing with his feet doing something with his laces then had his hands down the back of his trousers and never washed his hands. I am totally apouled at our experience and just to say all out food went in the bin except for the chicken wrap that they eventually were...
