I went for Hot Pot on a Friday evening, it was quite when we got there & were shown straight to our table, the staff were friendly & attentive, a few minor issues around communicating as their English was not great. The choice of condiments for the Hot Pot were good but I have been to others with a much nicer & more varied selection of condiments. The quality of the food was ok but could have been much fresher, I asked for Bok Choi, none, tried for the Chinese lettuce leaves, none, ended up with a bunch of coriander! I requested a medium spicy soup but what we got was full of chilli oil & dried chillies & was too hot to enjoy. Overall it was a nice enough meal but I don't think I'd be back in a hurry, at least not for Hot Pot. Had the meal been better then the £75.00 we paid for two would have been good value for money as it was I think it was expensive for what we had. 5/10

We have visited Little Asia and love the food and the service. Food is always very hot and the service is prompt. The only downside is the noise. There is not any form of sound insulation and at times when full, the restaurant can be ridiculously loud. Update - My 2025. The restaurant has turned into a buffet. You can still order from a fixed menu, but we were not impressed. The tables have been rearranged to accommodate cooking on the table, which means that for a typical meal, there is no space left. One of the main courses, sweet and sour chicken, was very tough and not pleasant. Adding the buffet lowers the price, which encourages a different Clientele. No more is Little Asia a quiet place to eat. Sorry, but we can no longer recommend and will try somewhere else when next in Newcastle.

Just ordered a Chinese from this place and wow what a disgrace! I ordered salt and pepper chicken along with salt and chilli chips. First of all the quantity of the chicken was shocking, about 4 pieces of chicken each for me and my boyfriend!! The tub was half empty!! And the chips, they were soggy covered in oil and just a slimy mess. And to top it off the food was freezing cold and my delivery time changed multiple times on Uber so god knows what was going on! Wouldn't waste your money on this place, just waisted £20 on the worst Chinese ever!! We then attempted to call the restaurant and the man on the phone wouldn’t listen to what we were trying to say and took no responsibility! Where can I request a refund as I spent money on food I couldn’t even finish!?

Since Home Flavour in Gallowgate, Newcastle closed permanently I have been to Little Asia 2.0 Stowell Street, Newcastle a few times. Until Saturday 24 August 2024 the quality of food and value for money had been great. On Saturday 24 August 2024 I ordered Salt and Pepper Pork Ribs as starter, Singapore Vermicelli (my favourite) and Green Tea. Unlike on previous visits when I had Singapore Vermicelli which was excellent, on Saturday 24 August 2024 the Singapore Vermicelli contained distinct pieces of luncheon meat (disgusting) and it spoilt the flavour completely. I left as many of the pink/red pieces of luncheon meat on the side of my plate. Also on Saturday 24 August 2024 the crew as staff were possibly depleted in fluent English comprehension. I asked for the Sweet Menu and someone arrived with my Table Bill. I shall go back and fervently hope no luncheon meat is any of the food, a definitely not in...

I was told about this place so I had to visit, I found it extremely clean the service is 99% I gave this score only because as soon as your seated to their requirements, it is only 1 min before that ask you what beverages do you require? I question this on its own (please managers/bosses) please give 5 mins for a person to decide ) going along ! The food is delicious and delectable today the least, I feel because of times of living standards at the moment, I respectfully say please go during Mon -Thurs day time upto 4pm as there is a alternative menu on offer (suits all pockets). You pay a tad more for drinks but hey ho, business is busines. I had the 3 course and hell I was full after 2, please go and visit. It was so bad we sent all the food back with most of it not hardly touched.

When I politely explained that the food was so bad, the manger came to the table and ‘sternly’ said nobody complains about the food and the chef is senior and again everyone loves their food!

The bill was requested, the total amount was on the bill for payment. I politely asked if they thought it was appropriate to charge for food that was nearly all sent back! Response, yes totally appropriate and the card machine was promptly presented.
