Would i recommend this place? Absolutely not!!!!. It may just be the worse restaurant i have ever been to. Me and my bf booked a reservation yesterday. When we got there, there was a family of 7 who had showed up with no reservation and the staff was trying to get them seated, we watched as other staff walked by without speaking to us to ask whether or not we had a reservation. This other couple of 2 showed up behind us and the staff ignores us then goes to ask them if they had a reservation and they said no before they even spoke to me and my bf. It was so awkward and we probs should have left then. Fast forward we finally get seated after 15mins of standing outside while everyone with no reservation gets seated before us, then he gives us no menu while everyone else got menus as they were seated. After 15mins, with no one coming to our table i had to ask one of them if we can have a menu before we got one. Then again no one came to ask if we are ready to order for about 30mins. We were close to walking out. I had to alert staff again that we were ready to order, they took our order, drinks didnt come till an hour later, our starters came 40mins later, then i again had to alert staff about our main, the guy goes after we have been waiting 40mins for it (oh its already prepared, do you want to take it home?) Like no we have been sat here at the table 40mins, can you please serve it to us), so he brings it over then gives my bf something he did not order. What was painful to watch was how the staff isolated and discriminated against us all night, it took me to chase up everything before we got anyone coming to us. The staff would walk to tables around us asking if they have their meal, are they ok, how is the food, then me and my bf sat there with nothing, they just walk past us with angry faces like we have done something wrong. Being black i am used to such ignorance but my bf could not believe something like that could happen in plain sight. If you are Caucasian and you like average tasting chinese food with pink uncooked chicken then id recommend this place, but if you black, stay away completely to avoid these death stares from unwelcoming staff and absolutely...

Used to to eat at Amaysia quite often and in the past recommended it to alot of friends as well as given very good reviews including on google. However after Saturday night I won't be returning. Myself and partner showed up without a reservation and were sat straight away. We ordered our usual- the spice pot (the reason why we've always returned). Food came quickly so we began to eat it. Moments after biting into a fried chicken drumstick my partner realised its completely raw in the middle. We flagged down a waiter to bring it to his attention and he just sort of looked at us. No apology. Just looked. Eventually he asks if we want the drumstick recooked. We tell him no, he should take the entire pot away. He goes and speaks to some of his colleagues and returns and again, just sort of looks at us and asks if we want the food taken back to the kitchen to have it reheated/cooked again. We told him we wouldn't be eating it because the chicken was raw in the middle, and there could be potentially salmonella throughout the pot considering there was more chicken in the dish. He just continues to look at us. I told him that it's not as if we've finished the entire dish then just decided we didn't like it, there's actually uncooked food on our plate. He goes back to speak to his colleagues again. We wait about ten minutes before we decide to go to the front pay for our drinks and leave... Just before we do another waiter runs to the front just to find out what it is we're doing. The girl at the till tells him we're just paying for our drinks... He looks at us briefly and allows us to leave. No apology. Nothing. Absolutely appalling service at Amaysia. I’m genuinely surprised with the amount of good reviews this restaurant has. It’s such a shame because the food here is actually ok although we’ve had a fair few unhygienic moments from the food:/ (just shows we barely complain!) However the service and staff are a complete let down this time that I’ve had to leave a review. For my auntie’s 50th we booked the karaoke room downstairs from 2-5pm. It was actually okay up until the end when we were pretty much done cleaning up, one of the staff said we were past our booking slot (this was at 5:07pm) and we had to pay £50 baring in mind we weren’t let in the room until 2:05pm? Confetti’s not allowed in the room however one of the balloons(we weren’t aware it had confetti inside) accidentally popped. We made sure to clean this up properly yet we were still accused of spreading it to the toilet and apparently it was all over their downstairs. How can that even be possible from one balloon?! We apologised even though there wasn’t any confetti in sight and then one of the female members of staff proceeded to point out confetti here and there, even the stairs when it wasn’t even confetti just trash from other people!! Absolutely diabolical!! Actually crazy how you can treat your customers like that who actually treat your restaurant with respect. Even upon entering the room it wasn’t even the cleanest! There was food that had dried up and hardened on the seats yet we didn’t even complain, we wiped it up ourselves! The audacity to charge us for “making a mess” with confetti and being 7 mins past our booking (which technical we were not) is just truly shocking.
