Lola’s never disappoints me. They absolutely nail the burgers, they’re on point.
Today for me was the California with an extra patty (so a triplet patty burger for the big lad here) and I binned the fries for some chicken tenders; what a feast. Proper bait that. All over my beard like a good burger should be.
And the wife got her pickle tickled (aye, not like that man, we’ve been married 14yrs now, it becomes more about companionship at this point), she had the Tickle The Pickle burger, and upgraded fries, she boffed them and all. Proper bait.
The cheeky salad on the plate was proper nice as well.
And their Salted Caramel Ice Cream cheesecake is so good too.
Service spot on, vibes canny, still unsure why it’s called Lola’s Jeans (reminds me of Geordie Jeans, remember that shop?!!, yeah they sold actual jeans).
So to conclude my review ramblings, Lola Jeans is THE place for a banger of a burger. End of. Their Tynemouth venue is proper good too.
If you need jeans, try Next (or Asda George if you’re after something reminiscent of 1980’s era...
Read moreDining room is lovely, service was decent if not stellar. Everyone in our party seemed to really enjoy their food but I think I just managed to select the two items I was unlikely to enjoy. To start I had the Cheese Steak spring rolls which sounded amazing. However these arrived doused in Barbecue Sauce which has no place within 100 miles of a Philly Cheese Steak. The sauce dominated the dish, and the bland queso was unable to make it's presence felt with the cloying BBQ. For my main I had the Buffalo Soldier which sounded great on paper but failed due to the overbearing blue cheese mayo, I literally couldn't tase the buffalo sauce, the chicken or anything else due to quantity of blue cheese. The triple cooked chips were, I thought a little soggy and under seasoned, perhaps due to the current fashion for serving fries in a receptacle meaning they steam on the way to the table rather than retaining their crisp exterior. Sorry this isnt a better review as I was really looking forward to eating here, but was really...

Fully worthy of award winning burgers. I had the 'California' and it delicious. Really tasty patties and a lovely soft bun. The red onion jam was sweet and paired beautifully with the salt beef. I'd have liked a little more of the salt beef meat though. The sweet potato fries were great and my girlfriend enjoyed her chicken tenders. Pretty good portion sizes. The place has a nice atmosphere, a fantastic bar selection and the staff were top notch. Definitely somewhere I'll go again soon!
Next visit: More excellent food!
Having already experienced fantastic scran at both this branch and the Tynemouth one me and my girlfriend were excited to go back for more.
I went for the 'Duke' burger which was delicious. Really well cooked patties and fantastic flavours.
We also enjoyed some halloumi fries and chicken tenders.
The drinks range is great and the staff are lovely. It's a beautifully decked out place and definitely a go-to...
