In the heart of the bustling city of Newcastle lies a hidden gem, known only to those with an adventurous spirit and a craving for culinary delights - Manjaros. This mystical establishment is not your ordinary eatery; it's a realm where flavors dance on your palate and every dish tells a tale of magic and wonder.
As I stepped into Manjaros, I was greeted by the enchanting aroma of spices and the gentle hum of conversation. But it wasn't just the ambiance that transported me to another world; it was the extraordinary service of a waitress named Emma.
Emma wasn't just a waitress; she was a sorceress of service, weaving spells of hospitality with every flick of her wrist. With a smile as radiant as the sun and eyes that sparkled like stars, she guided me to my table with the grace of a woodland nymph.
Throughout my dining experience, Emma was a beacon of warmth and attentiveness. She anticipated my every need as if she could read my thoughts, recommending dishes with the wisdom of an ancient oracle. Each course she presented seemed to possess a magic of its own, crafted with ingredients from far-off lands and seasoned with secrets whispered by wizards.
But it wasn't just Emma's impeccable service that left me spellbound; it was her genuine kindness and infectious enthusiasm. She regaled me with tales of her adventures in the enchanted forest, where she had learned the art of hospitality from mystical creatures and wise old wizards.
As I savored the last morsel of my enchanted feast, I couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness knowing that my journey at Manjaros was coming to an end. But as I bid farewell to Emma, I knew that I would carry the memory of her magical service with me forever, like a cherished treasure from a fantastical adventure.
In the realm of dining experiences, Manjaros and the sorceress Emma reign supreme, casting a spell of delight and wonder upon all who enter its...
Read moreMy wife and I came for the first time for lunch on Saturday 6th September. Our server Mahdin was excellent. His warm welcome, attentive service and professionalism made our lunch well worthy of our original 5 star review.
My wife is pregnant, and cant have many caffeinated soft drinks, and so we asked for tap water. We were told that they don't serve tap water and so we were offered two sealed Vossi bottles of water instead. We only drank one, leaving the other with the Vossi seal intact. When we asked if we could possibly have the unopened bottle taken off the bill, our server happily obliged.
However this review is not about Mahdin. Our experience was spoiled almost entirely by the experience at the till with a different female staff member, she had curly brown hair. When I mentioned we could take the water off the bill, I was instead returned with an exhaustive list of excuses as to why they cannot return the water - even if it was fully sealed. She said "we are not obliged to serve tap water, because we are not licensed and if we did then people won't buy the other drinks".
After refusing to take back the water she then told me that "the water is only £1.75 and that you can buy water for £5-£6 at other restaurants so its not even that expensive". I was then insisted on telling her who said we could take the water off the bill, and she cleverly deduced that our server was the one who said so.
I left, having paid the water we didnt drink, and as my wife was leaving she witness that server lady perform the most unnecessary and unprofessional reprimanding and scolding of our server right in front of the restaurant. She was really laying into him and we felt so bad that we had caused that to happen to him after he had done such a great job.
Her attitude, demeanour and lack of customer service was so shocking and upsetting that we will not be returning to...
Read moreThe Manager of Manjaros, what an absolute joke she is so unprofessional her attitude towards customers is appalling.😳 Shouldn’t be working as a Manager . If I was her Manager she would have been sacked a long time ago. I loved going to this place it was one of my favourites but now after my nightmare experience I’m not sure if I would want to spend my money here.🤦♀️
I went into the restaurant with my brother over a week ago to book a table for 14 people for the 10 May. Yesterday I got a call from the Manager to confirm the booking around 1pm for 4pm booking on the day.Firstly a week ago she was saying that everyone has to be here for 4pm promptly otherwise you won’t be seated. Secondly the table can only be till 6pm because it’s Saturday and we are very busy she explained. So we decided not to book it as there was no flexibility & because of the way she spoke to us with her unfriendly manner, She quickly changed her mind a give us an extra 30mins as we were going to cancel.
Yesterday her attitude on the phone was awful 😣 she made me feel very uncomfortable & unhappy she said that the table is only till 6pm now after her changing it for us. Absolutely disgusting behaviour at the last minute knowing it was a special occasion. I wouldn’t give her the satisfaction of my money to be spent here her customers service was so poor honestly be aware!
My brother rang and cancelled Manjaros. we went to a restaurant that I always go to on a regular basis and within mins they were so attentive said we look forward to be seeing you at 4pm on the day no restrictions whatsoever ended with a great customer service & positive...
