The Metropolitan Bar — Restaurant in Newcastle upon Tyne

Visited here as we staying in the hotel opposite. Our first visit was good newly refurbished,landlady very friendly advised on places to go. We decided to eat there before going into town. This is where it let itself down we waited 45minutes for our order (the pub was very quiet) when this arrived it was charcoal the food was burnt to a crisp. We sent this back to the kitchen. We were offered a refund. But no offer of an alternative so a refund it was. The landlady from that point did not acknowledge us and no apology from the chef . Other than that...

Visited this place back in March when on my stag do in Newcastle. (We stayed at the hotel opposite). A great little bar with a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
