Ohhh yuuumm eee yum! Outstandingly good, tasty food. Superb service. Beth and Charlotte were brilliant. Beth who served me was warm, welcoming, kind, genial and genuine, one of those life souls who uplifts and is an all round superlative grade 1 good egg. What an asset to the restaurant this young lady is, bosses take note! Vegano has outdoor seating set up on the pavement to the front. Inside it is simply and tastefully decorated. It has a calm atmosphere. I had homemade baked camembert cooked with white wine, garlic and rosemary, served with garlic toast and cranberry and orange compote. It was none other than delicious. For main I had the Big Kahuna burger topped with peanut butter and grilled pineapple. I opted out of the jalapeños that it would have come with. The burger options are served with fries and homemade coleslaw, but I upgraded my fries to the oh so incredibly wonderful tatter tots. Oh mah gawd, how addictive are they, wotty wot??!! Crispy fried potato pieces and seasoned with Asian salt and pepper. I didn't have the sriracha mayonnaise on it though. Tatter tots are divine and utterly moreish. There are gluten free options on the menu and you can request your burgers to be GF if you wish. I challenge carnivores to not like this burger, it was great tasting. The mains came in a deep metal billy can style dish. All food tasty and very filling. I had a tropical smoothie. I also had a piece of Amalfi lemon cake to take home. Vegano's kitchen closes down food service just 15 minutes before closing time, for those who fall foul of other establishments who decide to shut down an hour or more beforehand. Tsk tsk. Viva Vegano's and long may Beth spread her light amongst the customers. Absolute easy 10 star and Beth can have 20, lol. No animals were harmed in the writing of this...

Unfortunatly one of the worst services i experienced in the last year. We had a tabel next to the radio and it was extremly noisy so we had to shout and yell. When the shop owner came to ask for the order, she realized the radio is too loud to talk and reduced volume. After finishing the order, she raised the volume up again. So she was aware off its to noisy to have a conversation and still she raised the volume knowing we will not be able to talk. The menu is describing a kebab like it is in every Kebab shop worldnwide. When food was served the kebab was full of coreander, but this was not mentioned anywhere. Many people in the world don t like coreander like me, so i was not able to enjoy my food and it just tasted horrible. When I was mentioning that there is no describtiin of coriander in the menu, the shop owner replied that it is written in the menu and i didn t read the menu correctly. After double check, of course it was not written in the menu. Then the shop owner replied, if I don t like coriander, I should not eat Kebab. It s my fault that I ordered their Kebab. I replied that in whole UK there is no Kebab with coriander. Then suddendly the shop owner replied that coriander is not an alergeen and they are not obliged by law to write it in the menu, so it s my fault.

I can they this is the rudest answer I ever had in an restaurant. Customer service is not the number one priority in this shop. If you want to enjoy a nice evening in Newcastle, i recomend to go...

Food was lovely, unfortunately that’s where it ended. We visited as a family with my 2 year old son, they didn’t have any highchairs so I had to prop him up on the seat with cushions, they also didn’t have a kids menu but were happy to do a half portion of pasta for him.

He was happily toddling around the empty restaurant, then a server told me I had to keep ahold of him as they had the door open and it’s near a road. I know my child and I know he wouldn’t run out of the door, he enjoys wandering round and wouldn’t go further than a few feet away from me. Not to mention I didn’t even have a high chair to contain him in. The drinks were then brought over, 2 of which being a coke and Diet Coke, the server had forgotten which one was which, said sorry and went back to the bar.

I was the last one finishing off my meal and all the plates were taken away before I had finished which made me feel uncomfortable. Then my son dropped his bib behind the bench we were sitting on, my partner leaned over to get it and was shouted at that the picture behind him wasn’t attached to the wall, not in a ‘be careful’ way but more like he was being scolded. I just didn’t think it was a very nice atmosphere, the music was too loud and unfortunately we won’t be returning, despite how nice...

Visited today early afternoon on a Wednesday for my partner's birthday as we wanted it to be as quiet as possible - we were the only customers, score! Our food didn't take long to arrive, my partner go The Ultimate Vegano Cheez Burger and I got the Mixed Kebab - both served with fries and slaw. My partner thoroughly enjoyed her meal and referred to it as a "posh McPlant". I enjoyed my meal for the most part (the fries were beautiful) although I would have made a few tweaks - there wasn't a great deal of the "meat" (which was delicious), a little bit too much salad and it was overall a little difficult to eat. The salsa, tzatziki, chimichurri and the flatbread were all lovely. If I was the order the again I think I would request it all loose with the flatbread on the side so I can make my own wrap. Can't fault the service - it was quick, friendly and we were left alone after receiving our food. The inside of the restaurant was nice with quirky/industrial decor, although we would have preferred the music to be turned down a little but this is nitpicking as my partner has sensory issue. Overall, it was a pleasant enough experience and we may return in the future to try other items on the menu. 🙂

The dining area is about medium sized, definitely think about making a reservation before coming and finding the place crowded. Dogs are welcome here, as long as they're on a leash. From what I can tell (I had only one dish, the Mixed Kebab) the food is unbelievably good! The vegetables are fresh, the meat substitutes tasty and have the perfect consistency and sauces add that extra flavor pop! If you like fries crispy on the outside but with some mass to them, you're also at the right place here! The interior design is clean, spacious, warm and cozy, although a little dim. Could use seating cushions, I think. What it's lacking in lighting, it makes up for in music. Unintrusive good mood evergreens played at just the right volume. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, towards locals and tourists (me) alike. Noteworthy: a glass of tap water comes with a slice of lemon! Cool move, Vegano! ;) I will definitely come here again and I recommend everyone, vegan or not, to do the same!
