Excellent pub with great interior design. It’s literally just off the main strip by the station. Really chilled atmosphere with good selection of drinks. People on here have said its a boring place but I find it very intriguing, the colour inside is great and they made everything the same, a really nice touch, very arty and theatrical. Lovely use of lighting and rustic original spit and sawdust floor minus the spit and sawdust. I’m not a sports fan and some people have said you can’t watch sport here but the football is “descretly on” in order to cater for everyone’s needs. Top marks, I’ll be back.

Three of us popped in for a drink and enjoyed our time. Although the music is way too loud for lunch/mid-afternoon, the drinks we had were reasonably priced and tasty, and the staff were friendly. If you’re in the area this pub is a good option for one or two, but if you’re after a chilled and quiet time this probably isn’t the place for you.

Not good, the table was wobbly and not clean, even though there were very few people in and 3 staff members. Drinks are expensive ÂŁ17.50 for 3 pints, but they did have Madri on draught so one star for that. Not somewhere I will be in a rush to return. Shame as it could be a lovely pub.

Limited menu (not as per website), but what we had was nice. Fairly quiet, but it was mid-week early evening.

Edit: in response to owner query below - our group had some disappointment that menus previously found online were not available, but they may have been old. From the current menu shown at the bar, there was no corned beef today for a friend's toastie. What we ate was nice though, arrived prompt and was nice and hot. The lady serving at the bar was helpful and...

A bit pokey and the roof terrace isn't the biggest but it's quite a small venue, so I'm splitting hairs a bit.

Last time I went the bar was reasonably busy and it was taking a good 20-30 minutes to get served which was frustrating to say the least.

I've lost count if the number of times, over the years, that I've heard "let's go to the Telegraph, it's a great pub", only to have an 'OK' visit.

Decent enough range of drinks on offer though... Just go...
