Potential Hospitality Business Nightmare! One - Wheelchair user, One - Vegetarian and One - Glutton intolerant guest.

Last visit 20th August 2019, We had the potential to be a hospitality business nightmare!

A wheelchair user, a vegetarian and a glutton intolerant guest, eating Thai and staying over.

WOW, just absolutely fantastic all-round, Gary and his team second to none and the food is exquisite. Beautiful, simple and jam-packed with flavour.

On arrival, Gary and his staff helped us with the wheelchair, gave us a room right by the side entrance (and separate access key), to cope with the hill and access for the chair. Super view of the river, nice room. Friendly, engaging and Gary is a fountain of local information. Not forgetting their microbrew beers, another touch just adding that particular extra bit of unique.

Nothing, was to much trouble, eating with us was a vegetarian and a glutton intolerant guest. They triple checked everything about the meal, no one went disappointed, and no one went hungry that was for sure. Soup packed with crisp fresh flavour and mains to compliment.

What a great business. What a great team. The Cottage Inn team should all be very proud. We will be back as soon as they re-open their doors.

Hope to see you soon.

Thanks

PS

Dam good, cooked breakfast as well.

Apologies, we should have left this review a long time ago, for some reason it didn't save to Google. Just realised when I went to tell someone what a great place this is, good luck to Gary and Nartnapa we hope you can...

So let's start from the minute you walk in the door. Friendly welcome from the girl who is front of house. Kirsty I think is her name, but not entirely sure (sorry!). This lady is so nice and professional in her position. Makes it seem like nothing is a problem. Seating allocated to accommodate us having dogs with us and food and drink order taken at the table - perfect. Wide selection of drinks available, very good choice. Food - in a word - outstanding. We have always had a good meal, left full and always pleased with the high standards. Our favourite is the starter sharing platter which is quite simply bursting with flavour. All fresh ingredients and really comes through in the taste. Excellent presentation each time we eat there. I think the icing on the cake this time was the little treats presented for the dogs on our table. As if the team were not doing their best already to welcome in guests, then this just put you 110% ahead of any of your competitors. Well done Team Cottage. You are...

Nartnapa was a wonderful find! My friend and I were staying the night just next to the restaurant, at Sunny Lyn Holiday Park, while hiking the South West Coast Path. Having walked 20 miles that day, we didn't want to have to walk down (and up again) the big hill into Lynmouth, so we took a chance and popped our heads in at Nartnapa to see if they could fit us in for dinner that night. We were greeted with smiling faces and confirmation that they could seat us. The ambience was happy yet calm, with lots of other satisfied customers already enjoying their food. Our meals were delicious (prawn green curry and pad Thai), and the sticky toffee puddings afterwards really hit the spot. This restaurant is more than just "convenient if staying at Sunny Lyn" - it would be worth a special trip just to enjoy the menu and...

The food at this restaurant is superb. We shared an excellent Pork Green Curry, Vegetable Pad Thai and Jasmine Rice between two. With a couple of starters it was plenty. We both had a couple of drinks each and it came to about £70. It was worth it! The food was beautifully presented and tasted great. The service was exceptional. Friendly staff who were attentive and efficient. We will definitely eat here again when we are next in the area.
