Well what a great find. As much as I love to support smaller family run pub and hotels (not into pub snobbery). This is a brilliant Wetherspoons. It has the most fantastic large roof terrace (a lift is there for the disabled or those that might struggle with stairs) , glass dome & artificial turf that is soft and spongy (like walking on bedroom carpet) . It's got really good sea view and is close to the pebble beach. Being the coast there are seagulls and it's great that they have wires spaced across the terrace thatvkerp them out... Without resorting to netting or mesh. Also nice to have outside space that hasn't been hijacked by smokers...ππ The drinks range is always great even some non alcoholic Koperberg strawberry and lime. A great alternative if you are driving or not able to indulge in alcoholic beverages during the day. Food is quick and looked as it should, pizza and vegetarian lasagna that was tasty with a fresh salad. Staff were obliging when we requested extra chillies. It's a place I would recommend without hesitation ...and have done this week!

We found The Admiral Collingwood to be a modern, light and well appointed bar restaurant, we ordered four meals and drinks. The food arrived suprisingly quickly, was well presented, fresh and very tasty. There is also a lovely outside dining area on the roof, an ideal place to watch the world go by, with excellent sea views . Can't think of a nicer place to be, while having a leasurly drink, in pleasant company. all in all a lovely experience and would recommend. Returned on the 26th of June 2018, food, service and members of staff all good. ps if you find this review helpful, please give it a π Unfortunately won't be going here again if we have our dog with us, as they no longer allow dogs anywhere on the premises............ they're loss.

Arrived for lunch Easter Friday afternoon. Out back in the car park, 3 staff members stood smoking as we arrived. Kindly ask for some crayons for the kids to do the activity sheet and brushed off with a quick ' no, sorry, havent got any' as they walk off. Attempt to use the app, however there is zero reception here. At the till, attempt to order food, informed the food option what child A wants is out of stock. Out of second option too. End up asking them what they do have to save the time of playing the 'generation game' of guessing. Next up, order the wifes food, only again to find also out of that option and not doing any pizzas at all. Wait 45 minutes and then have to chase where our food is. Appreciate its busy, however members of our party who ordered seperatly after us had their food arrive before us and were able to finish it. Waitress arrives, the same who i saw smoking out back on my arrival. Food is bland... Honestly, if you are going to spend money on eating out, why bother wasting the opportunity on this place. Kids chicken was dry, with comment on the peas tasting 'funny'. I had the southern chicken wrap which whilst entirely edible was literally three small pieces of chickem nuggets with some lettece in a wrap. The curry was microwave rice... Further chasing up was required for the kids ' yo yo' fruit treats after being forgotten. To end my great experience i then notice the same staff members, including the waitress again stood out back smoking. Probably the reason for the 45 minute wait... Thumbs up for staff welfare though on staff breaks. Overall would really not bother again with this place.

We came here last year, and had an all round very good dining experience, and I gave them 5β rating. This year, the food was good, food and beer, being a Witherspoon's, was reasonably priced, as usual, the location excellent and building, interesting, but unfortunately the service didn't match. My brother tried to use the track and trace app on his phone, but it didn't work, and we hadn't downloaded their app either, to order our food, so in their eyes, we may have caused them some extra work, but the two young lads who served us, didn't need to make it obvious, they weren't happy to serve us from the beginning. We felt more like an inconvenience than paying customers, who pay their wages, keep them in their jobs, and keep their business operating. However, i appreciate they're under stress, but they need to realise that not everyone has a smart phone, has mobile data, or can use the internet, and problems obviously arrive, so they need to learn to cater for all of those scenarios too, without making people feel like a pain in the rear.

Dead place.RIP Awful management by David. I was enjoying the first round of drinks with a party of 9 until 1 member of our group had a drag from a vape inside. A friendly member of staff then asked for it not to happen again and that should have been the end of it. We then headed to the bar to find we were ALL BANNED from getting anymore drinks. Punishing 1 person I can understand but punishing 8 people is unnecessary. Sod it, I headed to the bar and was served one loverly pint of Stella. Just 2 sips later, David the manger marched over and demanded he takes it from me. Iβm sure you can fill in the gaps of what happened next. (A very unhappy customer) To David please communicate better and have a better approach to handling a large party of guests.

It took over an hour to get our food. Plus a friend ordered quinoa salad wich was supposed to have wild rice, roasted peppers & dressing We were told they had no quinoa so she said that's fine. But all she got was a basic salad. No dressing, no rice or peppers. When we complained they told us that was all part of the quinoa. She paid Β£10 for this!!. A disgrace. We couldn't complained the proper way as well becouse you needed a recipe number to do it wich we didn't have. My meal on the other hand was lovely π.
