Shaw’s Fish & Chips — Restaurant in North East Derbyshire

Oh goodness.. I've just waited 25 minues for a small Cod Special. There were only 4 people in the shop waiting for their order so there's really no excuse for the delay.... Except for the staff who were woefully slow and didn't have enough sense to get the little orders sorted quickly while waiting for the larger orders to be cooked and instead processed orders in strict order and waited around for these to be cooked and cleared before moving onto mine. The food is ok, can't say any better than that as the fish and chips had been hanging around already cooked but not served. Get your staff and processes up...

I visited Shaw's for the first time since it was taken over, the server was pleasant but the atmosphere in general was quiet compared previous, the batter on the fish was lovely, very crisp and light however the chips were very dry and had a strange after taste to them so I couldn't finish them.
