Cromer's hidden gem, tucked away up a side street opposite the church. Clean, unpretentious & homely with wonderfully friendly service. Sue thoroughly enjoyed her home cooked gammon ham salad. As usual I had their tasty home-made pie of the day ... but the neighbouring table had sausage & mash - I'm having that next time! Gravy on both dishes is awesome, side dish of vegetables is included & they are excellent value (£16). Meat, bread etc all locally sourced & fresh. We popped in for a comer crab sandwich as a takeaway. It was very busy inside but as we had a dog we sat outside to wait in the lovely. Courtyard garden. The man who took our order was really nice and helpful asking us exactly what we wanted and we were not disappointed. Crqb sandwich, salad, crisps, beetroot, coleslaw and all put in a square takeaway container with wooden cutlery, napkins and condiments. Yummy. What an absolute gem of a place this is. My wife and I had two Cromer Crab salads and they were absolutely amazing. The crab meat in the dressed crab was plentiful and so fresh, as was the accompanying salad and new potatoes. The staff who worked both on the tables as well as in the kitchen were very friendly, warm and welcoming and the chef made a point of asking if we had enjoyed the dishes which we had.
