What a brilliant gem to have stumbled upon! We needed to get out of the rain and wanted to grab a quick bite to eat... excellent luck that we popped into Crofters! We were immediately greeted by a very courteous and polite man who was most welcoming. I could not fault his service in the slightest; he was impeccably proactive and on the ball. We shared a carvery baguette between the two of us: the meats were cooked to mouthwatering perfection. The chap brought over a serrated knife and an extra plate for my dad and I, which was a nice extra touch as I'd not even thought about it. The baguette would've been more than enough for one, particularly as they offer a side salad with this, but it was also perfect for sharing for a quick nibble. As the carvery baguette was so good, we decided to grab a takeaway carvery for my mum. We mentioned that our parrot, Barney, absolutely loves Yorkshire puddings, and so Barney was gifted an extra one, which he was truly delighted with when we got home! Thank you to the team for a wonderful lunch; I am sure we will be back! Barney sends big love and sincere thanks for his Yorkie!

Crofters Carvery , Sherringham, Norfolk. Stopped here with friends on a miserable rainy day and it cheered us up enormously. The food was cooked to perfection and I had what was the best tasting piece of beef that I have eaten in many a long day. My friends all said the same about their meals. We all felt that we couldn’t recommend Crofters highly enough. For food this good the price was a bargain. Don’t miss this if ever you visit Sherringham. Only sad that we can’t be regulars as we live in Kent.

I came here for a Sunday carvery and it was great! There was a good choice of meats, and I had turkey. The gravy was very tasty, and stuffing balls, sausages and Yorkshire puddings were available, as well as vegetables. It was my first visit and I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in Sheringham. It is quite a small restaurant, so we were lucky to get a table, especially as it was the 1940s weekend.

We used to love this place, always visited over the years, have eaten in but mainly takeaway carvery's, even a Christmas day roast in the caravan! Food always the best and the owner was great. Fast forward today and things have massively changed. Firstly no friendly welcome from the young couple standing staring at us as we walked in. 2 takeaway carvery's paid for and then weren't sure what to do as the owner used to get everything sorted into a couple of containers but this time we were passed a small 'fish & chip' takeaway tray that he'd already squashed the large yorkshire pudding in with the meat inside. What happens next? We are told with a look of "are you stupid" that we put our carvery in there too. We asked how that was possible to be told "that's just what you do" I asked for a bit of foil so I could try and separate my mash & veg away from the meat and the response was another "am I stupid" look. Wow. So by now I'm fed up, husband was trying to tuck a spoon of mash into a little corner of his tray and unless we used a teaspoon we realised we weren't going to enjoy a nice roast dinner with all the trimmings! The young couple, especially the bloke was now just being awkward so a refund was requested. So...a little tip if you want any kind of takeaway service to be a success, I know how much those takeaway trays cost so add another £1 cos you'll still make a profit on that and offer one tray for meat, yorkshire pud, sausage & stuffing and a 2nd tray for the potatoes and vegetables. That way you won't lose your potential customers to Dave's Fish & Chips (5* by the way)...

So first time im in sheringham and come try this new place and what a horrible experience ill just never go back!!! I found a bug in the veg on the carvery i let waiter know he took the veg back and tried to give me one bowl of the same veg boiling hot which looked microwaved after taking the bug out saying it was new fresh veg but obviously i didnt see it and came to the table way too fast to be fresh cooked veg and then the atmosphere was cold not friendly at all, chef was rude and lack of patience with costumers waiting to be served on carvery, waiter looked more of a bouncer than a waiter, just everything off putting, cold, not warming at all to bring people in On the end i asked bill, told the waiter after my horrible experience all i could had was the beef/meat and my juice i asked and nothing else due to not stop thinking the whole time about that bug going around carvery veg like his own garden And waiter/bouncer only told me : you have to pay normal price as everyone because the meat/beef is the most expensive in the carvery and you had just the beef!!! I couldn’t believe so i paid went away and will...
