Looking forward to a nice evening meal with our friends here and thank goodness we had booked a table at the Indian Spoon restaurant, as this popular spot on the Norfolk broads was fully booked and queues of walk -ins were being politely turned away as we arrived. The food we were served for our evening was absolutely delicious, the chefs delivering the correct level of curry heat and their meats and sauces are up with the best I have tasted in Indian restaurants. The freshness of the ingredients here was obvious not only by the crisp salads tasty naan breads and meats on our plates but by the volume of food being sold through the restaurant and take-aways. Thank you for a nice evening handled professionally during a busy service evening.

We ventured out for an Indian buffet. On this occasion our family had booked in at the Indian Spoon at Wroxham, after seeing a facebook advert. Arriving promptly for 5pm we were seated in boutique sized room which could only seat no more than 30 customers. The waiters were attentive, which is a positive. On the entrance is the row of hot plates which had a limited selection of really well cooked food. We ventured up a few times and for a family of 2 adults and the 6 year old we spent £65 on food. The room had no windows and parking was free although it was via Roy's car parking a few minutes walk away.

Every dish we ordered from this restaurant was fantastic. I’ve tried Dupiazas up and down the country and this one lives up to my high expectations. I found the pistachio korma quite interesting, and if you’re worried about the sound of that, don’t be because the pistachio is subtle enough to not disturb the essence of the dish. I can confidently say that the sag aloo is the best sag aloo I’ve ever eaten. The staff are all very friendly and will not disturb your meal, but are always ready to approach if you need them. My friends and I were so glad to have visited!

Tonight we attended the buffet night at our local Indian Spoon restaurant in Wroxham. The event had been advertised on Facebook and we have been before. As usual we booked a table for four via their website and received a confirmation email. Later they phoned my wife and took £40 deposit over the phone via our bank card. On arrival tonight we were told we had not booked. We showed them our confirmation email but they still insisted we had not booked as they had no record of taking our deposit. The manager demanded that we show proof we had paid the deposit. We could not do that immediately and it would be irrelevant as they said they were already fully booked and would not be able to fit us in. Throughout the whole conversation the manager and his staff were argumentative and refused to accept any responsibility, even alluding to us trying to scam them out of the £40 deposit. We had no choice but to leave. On arrival home, a check of our bank account showed that £40 had been taken from our account by the Indian Spoon the day after we booked. I returned to the restaurant and asked for the manager. I was told he was busy and I would have to wait. Eventually he came and I showed him my bank statement. His face dropped and he walked off leaving another staff member to deal with me. No apology. Eventually that staff member did accept that they had made a mistake but still insisted it was my fault for not being able to prove we had paid the deposit, i.e. show the bank account at the time. I did get my £40 refunded (still waiting for it to show in my bank account). I was also offered an envelope, stating it was a voucher as compensation. I declined as I will never be going back. All trust has gone. As I left, the staff member angrily threatened me that my photo would be put on Facebook if they find that I had not paid the £40, even though he had just seen proof of the transaction. The final straw is that there was an empty table for four. I wonder if that could have been the...

Ordered a takeout 22.08.25 as a celebratory dinner. The food was on the expensive side compared to other local Indian food establishments in the area and it had a strange taste to it. I had my go to chicken chat starter and lamb madras and both of them tasted totally different to other Indian restaurants I have used in the past.

Issues started within half an hour of finishing the dinner. First off the intense stomach cramps and trapped wind, followed by excessive wind, followed by the worst case of diarrhea, make that several cases, I have endured for several years. A night on the bathroom floor (to get to the toilet in time) whilst “trying to sleep” isn’t fun. I wasn’t the only one who suffered as my other half did too.

Given we ate totally different dishes leads I question the hygiene practices of the Indian Spoon and believe we were given mild food poisoning along with our food, therefore I reported the Indian Spoon to the local food safety team.

The Indian Spoon is an Indian restaurant/takeout I am never going to order from again, or set foot in to, and one I would actually tell people to avoid. There several other Indian takeouts and restuarants around Wroxham and the surrounding area that are cheaper, tastier and safe to eat from. Unfortunately there is no option to...

Absolutely fantastic place to eat and dine in at, food was cooked to perfection and so tasty. We went here on the first night of our holiday and soon returned for another on the last night. The service was amazing and so patient which we really appreciated as we felt no pressure to eat our meal and get out the place, instead we were able to take our time and enjoy it. We didn’t feel rushed unlike other places you go. They informed us when our main course was ready and asked us to tell them when we was ready to eat it, rather than just bringing it out straight after the starter. Would highly recommend if you’re visiting near by. Prices were very reasonable and it was nice to see all items on a printed receipt rather than scribbled down so you could clearly see what you had ordered and being charged...
