My partner and I decided to head out for a nice meal at the Taste of India this evening, only to be left bitterly disappointed. Where do I even start. The customer service was atrocious, the lack of manners, politeness and general human decency was lacking to say the least. A young girl working there slammed our cutlery down directly onto the table without uttering a single word or offering up a friendly smile. My drink turned up with bits in, what exactly I'm still unsure of. We ordered buttered chicken with Pilau Rice with a side of Sag Aloo and a naan bread. The chicken was tasteless, the sauce was bland and the popadams arrived cold to the touch. We ate the meal purely because we had made the trip and we were hungry. We asked for the bill and the same young lady slumped over to our table as if she had been enslaved to work there. She shoved the card machine in our faces, again, not uttering a single word. Not "how was your meal?" or "I hope you enjoyed your food?" not even a thank you for dining with them. We wrongly assumed that this restaurant would provide us with a pleasant experience being that it's in a reputable area. Will not be returning. My advice, don't...

I then said to him I don't mind ordering a drink as I could actually sit down at a table to eat in, instead of taking it away. He then said " we have some bookings tonight. (There were 4 people in and it would have taken me 20 minutes to eat up and go) I ordered my takeaway and literally 2 minutes after ordering I asked him if it was ok to have it hotter than the dish usually came, the look on his face was one of discussed, so I said "it's not a problem if it's too late". He then went into the kitchen, I presumed to tell his chef. I then received my curry with a red chilli thrown on the top, which I had to cut up myself. I got the strong feeling he just wanted to get shut of me. I was dressed in a pair of clean jeans and a shirt, so I wasn't in work attire. I had been polite but he was maybe tired of his job or just a...
Read moreI have been once and really enjoyed it I agree with one other comment about the waiters rushing about they were very polite to us. and when I got there they didn't seem to realise we had booked until they looked at the book and rushed to sort us a table and the whole restaurant is a bit cramped in when they are busy with takeaways and there are people just behind you while you eat. but I was very happy with the food I had. I don't think I have ever had such nice food and I didnt know much about the food and the waiters happily told me about what the dishes were when I asked about them. I felt the food was fairly cheap and well priced. and so I have book a table again for in...
