The Offshore Coffee House — Restaurant in North Norfolk

The owner of this establishment forced my elderly and disabled parents to move from 'his' tables as they settled in to buy ice cream and drinks from his cafe, stating they were blocking his view of the beach and were not going to buy anything. One is a wheelchair user. He was extraordinarily rude. Absolutely no need to treat people like that.

Edit: Because I can't respond to the reply, just to add we did buy items from the offshore cafe when the whole family arrived a few minutes later (to an empty seating section). I regret this. The owner or whomever took a position of authority had 'disappeared' (I would have liked to have a word). The take home message is the response below is sadly full of half-truths. Visited with a family group and bought six drinks and some cakes. Within 30 minutes was told abruptly by a lady they would shortly be closing and she needed to take the chairs away. Felt hurried. Whilst seated I noticed a man (presumably the owner) telling other customers that they couldn’t remain at their tables due to having finished their drinks and taking up space for more customers. He mentioned he’d “end up bankrupt” otherwise. As he said this I looked around and noticed 4 empty tables and only one customer ordering whilst standing outside the cafe. There were 8No of us, plus 3No dogs, who met up here specifically this morning for breakfast 😋 as it has had some great reviews. We were NOT disappointed 😁 We were tended to very quickly by the owner and drink orders were taken promptly along with the food orders. I had a delicious Double Espresso Cortado 😁 which was brought out soon after 👍 The freshly made Offshore Bacon Doorstop, along with the rest of our food order, was brought out shortly after the drinks.
