Service was at its best here today, despite not having a children's menu best efforts were made to accommodate our little lad, we noticed other little people that were there too so maybe a kids menu would be a good call? What was great about today's visit aside from the amazing food offering was that a member of staff was a parent and absolutely got it when we made attempts to put together a meal of sorts for him & a suitable drink! Everything was clean & tidy everyone was polite & attentive & we had a great meal too!

We just called in on chance today for a coffee mid day, decided to have a light side bite. Absolutely delicious, full of flavour & beautifully presented, we shared just a single portion, more than enough. Staff were very attentive & polite. Upstairs area with outside terrace, totally COVID friendly, staff seen cleaning at every stage. We will definitely be back. Thank you for such a lovely visit.

We held part of our wedding reception upstairs. The staff went out of their way to make sure everything went smoothly and that everyone had a good time. The manager was really friendly and made organising the afternoon simple. The canapes were very tasty and went down well. The cocktails were lovely. The room is nicely decorated and they created a really nice atmosphere for our special day.

Very nice atmosphere and decor, service was a little slow. We visited 7.30 on a Friday night, the restaurant was quite busy but not full. The staff were quick to take our order and ask if we needed drinks. Unfortunately it took over 45 mins to actually get our food. We had ordered the chicken burger, cheese burger and chicken flat bread. The burgers looked amazing, very generous portions. I had the flatbread which was nice but a bit disappointing. I would suggest they serve it on a plate that can be heated as it was freezing cold. The chicken was no where near as generous on mine, they were very small bits which had dried out. When the table was cleared the waitress cleared half then started serving another table and left the other plates for around 10mins. We also had a drinks order which we had to chase up. I would give Allards another go as I did still enjoy it and my friends really...

Ordered the food online for delivery, bit of a wait for the scheduled time but we were willing to wait a couple of hours. The food never turned up, tried to call over 30 times over the course of half an hour but they don't answer their phone (their other venue answered first time!), I also tried to message them by FB and E-mail but had no idea if it would even get looked at.

Eventually they responded by FB messenger, blamed it on an IT issue, by this point we had already made other arrangements as we knew we'd never get food from here on this night.

To their credit they did offer free food for the next order, but I don't really want to go through the aggravation that might...

Allards on the Quay (North Shields)

My wife and i met the most attentive man (Jack Lynsey) in hospitality. A young enthusiastic gentlemen approached us to see how we were and to see if we needed anything else.

After a few minutes of chatting it become apparent this gentleman is somewhat a force multiplyer within his industry.

Jack displayed all the attributes of retail, diligent, trustworthy, knowledge ETC.

Speaking to Jack for only 5 minutes it was. definitely so apparent his is due to be going places and i wholeheartedly recommend this gent for greater things within his industry with support from his superiors.
