Coffees and Cream — Restaurant in North Tyneside

We had a scone with jam and cream and a pot of tea. The scone was lovely and reasonably priced. But what really impressed us were the people working there. One young man whose first language isn't English came in and started to ask about the sandwiches. The lady who dealt with him took the time to explain everything to him calmly and clearly. Then an elderly gentleman with two walking sticks entered the café and needed help to sit down, and one of the staff sorted him out. We were undercharged by £2, so when we were served our food and tea the lady apologized profusely and said we could pay the £2 the next time we were in. Called in today for lunch at Coffees and Cream's new location on Park View in Whitley Bay.

The welcome we received from all the staff was so friendly, and they were helpful with regards at GF menus etc.

Food was REALLY good.

Jacket potato with chicken mayo, and a lovely homemade coleslaw and salad, whilst my wife had homemade quiche, coleslaw and salad.

Lemon cake (very lemony) and am amazing GF homemade Victoria Sponge, washed down with cups of tea.
