It was our first visit to the Bulls Head but we will certainly visit here again. We visited at lunchtime. It was very busy, but we didn't have to wait long for our meals. The food and drink were very good and there was a good choice available. The staff are friendly and efficient and service was good. The pub serves food up to 9pm and from looking at the menu serves a good choice, including breakfasts up to 12 noon. If you like olde world pubs, this is one to visit as part of the pub dates back to the 1300s and there was a wide collection of pictures and photos showing the pub through the years and scenes of Ashby

The food is great, and tasty which is quite impressive. I had the classic all day breakfast here and I loved it so much. The only downside to my visit is that I had to pay to get an extra toast, I would normally not request for but it was good and just one toast was not enough to savour all the deliciousness. I paid £1.99 for a toast I wasn’t able to finish. So I feel like the £2 I paid for extra toast wasn’t justified . Aside that they serve great meals.

The food was awful. My partner ordered Katsu curry and chips, but got rice. Both of the patties on burger were black and hard. The food was dumped on the table, and the girl just left before we could mention the issues. The chips were cold and dry, we couldn’t hear each other speak because the screens showing the football were so loud. We won’t be coming again.

Kicks out a 5 month pregnant 20 year old woman for needing to sit down as felt faint, obviously not drinking just having a glass of orange juice, very petite framed but with an obvious bump. Would not allow her to go to the toilet, from a very very fat blond haired bar staff member that works a saturday afternoon, got kicked out a pub, was feeling faint, so thought the 20 year old and her partner would see his dad and get food, in the pub boyfriend went upto bar, to get a drink for himself (alcoholic) did not have pregnant womans Id, because being pregnant did not think it was required to sit down and drink orange juice, pregnant woman just wanted a drink, just wanted to sit down.. and then the women was like really harsh and you had to leave, no id you have to go.. tried to explain to bar staff that the pregnant woman has to sit down as she has severe pelvic dislocation due to pregnancy and needed to rest and eat, due to fainting problems, asked to be able to speak to the manager, but bar staff fat blonde woman declined stating no manager able to speak to. This is my daughter whom is 20 years old ,and 5 month pregnant, when is it an offence to sit and drink orange juice and eat food!!!! I hope her managers impressed with her customer...

I visited today with my mum for lunch as we normally go somewhere at Christmas for a treat we had looked at the menu previously and decided to try as there were some really nice dishes. We both decided to try the turkey roulade but was told there was only 1 portion, so i asked for the turkey pie...they didnt have any. I then asked for the fish pie...they didnt have any nor did they have any of the steaks on the menu. At this point we told the lady seving us we would leave it and go elsewhere. We expressed how poor it was that at least 50% of the menu was not available. Afew moments later the lady came back and told us they could do 2 turkey roulade so we said fine we will have that. Looking forward to it as it sounded delicious we were very dissapointed once we started eating it. 1, some of it was barely warm. The stuffing was missing from both plates. 3.the vegetables tasted like they were microwaved all rubbery and shriveled. The crispy roast potatoes were soggy. We told 2 members of staff but unfortunately they were uninterested. So we will definitely not be returning and will not be recommending it to any friends or family. Very poor from...

My family visited here 08/04/23. A regular of Stonegate pubs up and down the UK. Interior and setting of the pub is lovely. Service slightly slow and okay at best... Good selection of drinks on offer. Food however was poor hence low score. I had nachos, there was no guacamole and no jalapenos, I could tell the nachos had been under the hot pass whilst the other food was cooking as the cheese had turned rock hard. Asked for this and was advised both were out so had Frank's hot sauce. Sister-in-law had BBQ chicken and chicken and bacon was hard. Onion rings tasted on oil, oil needs changing in kitchen. Asked for new onion rings. Husband had a burger that should have been on a glazed bun, it wasn't. Brother in law's gammon was incredibly pale. Lots of glasses and plates left on tables whilst staff all gathered at one end of the bar chatting. Pub wasn't that busy so no need for it to look this way. Room for improvement., Could be a fantastic...
