our whole experience from start to finish was absolutely amazing. A very warm welcome awaited me and my friend for our Sunday lunch today. We were greeted with a smile and shown to our table immediately upon entering the restaurant. Menus were already laid out for us and we were given just the right amount of time to make our choices before the waitress returned to take our drinks order which was served promptly. The staff was friendly and efficient and the atmosphere very relaxed, we didn't feel rushed at all. The lovely owner took the time to come and speak to us about the food and we saw him conversing with other diners throughout our experience and this added that extra personal touch! I ordered beef roast dinner which I have been CRAVING for weeks. It really hit the spot!! Beef melted in mouth, proper home made yorkies!!! oh my gosh YES!! gorgeous crispy edge, soft in the middle roasties!! a dish of delicious cauliflower cheese which honestly did taste homemade and was phwoar!! New spuds, broccoli, peas etc. all generous portions, I was really full but I forced myself to have a pudding!! . I have dined here a couple of times before and had a couple of cocktail nights which have all been enjoyable but today was extra special! The other diners were all as happy and relaxed as we were. We got chatting to some and learned some fascinating history of the local area and Rushdens Yard in particular. We left the restaurant feeling very full but uplifted and like we've had a real treat and the added bonus is, it doesn't break the bank!! I was surprised by the prices, it's honestly really good value for money. Thank you Mr Zamani and team for your wonderful hospitality and delicious food. We've had a wonderful time and can't...
Read moreHad a table booked for 4 people but 2, my nephew and Niece couldn't make it due to illness, so we drove A 70 mile round trip but I knew it would be worth it. Used to come here about 25 years ago as a regular weekend diner that we would be in for a great night! Well Zamanies, you didn't disappoint, myself and hubby thoroughly enjoyed the evening, a warm welcome awaited us with smiles all round, the service from the girls was 1st class as was the food. The restaurant was clean and comfortable, just a cushion was needed as the seats were a little hard but other than that could not complain about anything. My hubby had garlic mushrooms, lasagne, fries, fresh proffitarols. I had caesar salad, pasta arribiata with grated parmesan and a garlic flatbread to share, then tiramisu, all absolutely delicious and every mouthful was tasty, all hot food was piping hot. We had drinks from the lovely cocktail bar and a lovely bottle of red wine boomerang bay Shiraz. Would absolutely recommend if you have never been, it's a little gem at the bottom of Bath street, then lots of little pubs and bars just a short walk up the street. Well done zamanies for reasonably priced excellent food and service. The Johnson's but booked...
Read moreWe enjoyed a fabulous meal here on 29 March. Our party included young children who were well catered for and had a wonderful time. Despite being extremely busy pre Mother's Day, service was timely and the young wait on staff were excellent.
During our visit, a member of staff had an accident in the courtyard which resulted in a cut to their head. We felt that first aid could have been administered somewhere other than at a table within the internal restaurant area in full view of diners. Additionally, it would have been preferable had the person cleaned the blood from the site of the injury and their hair prior to resuming table duties. There are washing facilities in the rest rooms. Hygiene should always be paramount within a catering...
