The customer service was terrible. We arrived about an hour before closing, and it was obvious that we were viewed as a burden from the moment we walked in. The woman at the counter was rude and sarcastic, making us feel as if we were ruining her night just by being there. She shouted that there were no fillets left, which made us very uncomfortable. like she was starting to shut the place down around us, while saying it'll stop people coming in while looking directly at us. I'm usually a big fan of Herons but have to say after getting from here twice I think it isn't exactly the best country fried chicken I've been too. The place itself is a little grim and dated looking, the chicken was from a heater unit with dried out meat and soggy, damp chicken coating. Update: have had visits when quality of food was much better.

Amazing food from here yesterday, I've been craving chicken sauce living in Manchester. 🤤 I got chicken kebab on chips with lashings of the delicious chicken sauce. It was fantastic, couldn't fault it. The customer service was excellent too from the friendly guy working there. Absolute bargain and maybe I'll take the guys advice and open a franchise in Manchester! I definitely hope someone does that for Belfast...
