The new look and the touch screen ordering shows why Bruce has this place road blocked on most teatime evenings never mind at the weekend. The touchscreen ordering system customizes options including every ingredient on the menu right down to the pickle. The staff are courteous and friendly and attentive to customers demands or requests. The split drive thru lanes help to ease the congestion of the carpark and the holding area for special orders with staff bringing the food to you is a welcome touch. The menu choices are more varied to appeal to the modern tastes of today's generation with an emphasis on healthier options and portions but the classics are still on offer. The special promotional meal options such as world tastes and monopoly are well presented and displayed throughout the restaurant. A noticable focus is more time to stay consuming the food rather than just knock it into ye and move on. The lightened atmosphere helps you to settle more the famous toys are no longer heavily promoted which shows just how much times have changed. Its open 24hrs so the late night option at the weekend comes with it's own disadvantage of alcohol induced revellers being a bit rowdy but they have security in place to keep everyone calm and considerate to others. A welcome update to Coleraine store and nice to see it so busy even when there's alot of doom and...
Read moreI visited this McDonald's drive-thru around 8:55 pm on November 11th, and unfortunately, my experience was far from what I expected. Now I do understand it's McDonald's. I am not expecting 5 star service, however I think as a paying customer the least I deserved was basic manners. While I was placing my order, I could hear loud cursing in the background, which was unprofessional and made me uncomfortable. To make things worse, the person taking my order openly mocked my accent and snickered over the microphone when I mispronounced a few words, which left me feeling embarrassed and disrespected. This person truly needs some training, I also can't imagine him doing the same thing to a man. Completely disrespectful! He probably thought he was being funny, but it was really just vile.
The lack of customer service skills here was shocking, and it seemed like the staff could benefit from thorough customer service training. When I drove up to pay, the lady at the window was nice and took my payment. However as soon as she shut the little window she started tossing paper cups at her colleagues in the kitchen. I am sure management would approve of such waste. This lack of professionalism definitely impacted my experience. I hope the management can address these issues, as I’ve had much better service at...
Read moreThis is my nearest McDonald's and always has been, food barely ever has any problems, this branch somehow messes up your order less than the average branch. But. Recently they moved around all their opening and closing times. With a big bright shining 24 hour sign but not even 24 hour? Then they sometimes are meant to be open but they bang some signs across the drive through so you can't get in. Now I do understand cleaning needs to be done aswell as other things but not even an app warning or maybe a Facebook post? I live a 25 minute drive away and about roughly 10 pound of fuel that could have been saved if they notified somewhere when they do this? And finally this is the only McDonald's I've been to where the app NEVER works. I've had the app not work for this McDonald's so try a different one and it works fine? I'm not sure what's going on there but it's been going on a few months so I'm begging this gets sorted. All in all I love the food and the staff are all so lovely and if there are ever problems they work fast to sort it and it's never too long of a wait unless it's busy which is expected and I have no problems waiting a little bit longer to ensure my food is good, the staff aren't unsafely rushing etc.
Summary: I recommend but beware it might not be open when...
