Amazing food and wonderful atomosphere about the place, situated in the lovely town of newtonards it is a perfect way to end the day after an invigorating day trip to the beautiful and picturesque scrabo tower, where one can enjoy the most spellbinding views over the whole of county Antrim and beyond on a clear and sunny midsummers day with low winds so you are not blown off the top of the rather blusrty hill at scrabo, where, on limited opening times that you would need to check with your local tourist information centre before making the challenging but rewarding climb up to scrabo to,you can access the tower itself and get a guided tour around the historic Landmark and get an even better view from the top, with the possibility that you can see as far as Iceland on a really nice day with a pair of really high quality binoculars, available for purchase in several shops located in the...

We are regular customers at the Spirit Merchant in Newtonards. The staff are very friendly and efficient, the food is excellent. However, today ( 14.30h, Sunday 4th June 2017), there seems to have been mistakes made. We were told that certain food shortages were caused by a very busy day previously. There were no burgers, and no chips. I don't understand how this could happen, and would appreciate an explanation. We were disappointed that our orders were taken by the bar staff, prior to being told about the food shortages. There should have been a notice at the door. Other than that, it's all excellent, keep up the good work, and please try to address my one and only ever complaint about...

My family and I went out during the weekend to this bar on Saturday the 18th of February for a family members birthday only to be harassed by one of the members that works there. We ignored him to continue with our night only for him to come back again and again to ruin our night. Which led to the doorman not even letting him in again in his own work place! This speaks volumes to me as he didn’t even show respect for the company he works for. The rest of the workers were lovely apart from that obscenely rude man.
