Zu Zu — Restaurant in Northern Ireland

Long time since I been here but I give it four on the different dishes of Hanoi duck and ichiban. You order and pay at counter usually. I got ichiban beef with fried rice this time. It is beef floured and fried crispy with a sweet and sour spicy type of sauce which I think has tamarind in it. Still it is tasty and different. Portion size fair loaded with pineapple, onion, green peppers. Fried rice was just OK. But cold plates are a no no. Cash only and luckily I had enough. No frills in the sit in with wooden tables and upholstered benches which are too low and I struggled to get up with my bad knees. Young girls working just do enough to take your order and bring to table. No niceties or is everything ok. Priced at £12.50 it is dearish. Could have similar for nine pounds in Belfast similar type of set up. But on my food I give it four stars as that...

I'm VERY particular about ordered food, having come through a recent serious campylobacter ( food poisoning ) infection from another shop's takeaway menu.

I have absolutely no qualms about ordering from ZuZu, though. EVERY order that I've made from ZuZu has been hot, delicious and more than plentiful.

They offer three container sizes for your takeaway, all less than £10 and quite honestly, every time that I buy, I'm torn, between keeping eating, and discarding that which I can't eat when I'm too full.

What a nice problem.

The establishment is clean, service quick and it does have a sit-down area although I would guess that most of their trade is take-away.

Still, I've never been disappointed yet - it's my number one go to for asian food and I confidently predict that it will always be.

Not one to do this but If I don’t laugh the night I’ll cry, so made an order about half 9 tonight sat and waited there normally quite quick with deliveries. Was after 10 o’clock and was wondering where it was. Phone at half 10 and was told it had already been delivered they have the doc from the delivery… We’ll clearly not hence the phone call, proceed to argue with me that I have the order and that it had been delivered then called my Address out twice which the address was right but the order obviously wasn’t sent to that address, was told that there’s nothing they can do would have to speak with the manager tomarrow. So I would like to thank Zuzu and there delivery driver that some gyp is sitting eating a free Chinese and hasn’t said...
