NEW CHEF IN RESTAURANT - TERRIBLE FOOD!!!!!!
We have been going here for over 4 years and loved every meal we have ever been served, but sadly tonight will be our last visit here.
Portion size was way too small for price, normally its perfect but new chef likes to focus on a fancy design with the food on the plate rather than focusing on the actual food.
Chicken wings were burnt and dry and had no pirri pirri flavour or spice at all, not hot as ordered.
Mushroom sauce was REALLY watery and flavourless with no mushrooms in it. Really disappointed as this was always the highlight here. Also the sauce came in a ramekin less than have the size it normally is.
Steak was well done not mid rare as ordered, also very little tobbaco onions, normally a good portion with old chef that would easily last the whole steak, not 3 bites of steak and no onion left.
Chicken strips were stone cold (prob left over from a previous order) and really skimpy! 5 thin strips in a meal not even enough to fill a 3 year old never mind an adult!
Also the fries sides we had were served in different portion sizes, 2 in small white ramekins and 1 in a larger blue ramekin, it left us sitting being polite offering the normal larger portion to each other, not a nice feeling paying the same knowing 2 are going to get less than the other person.
And lastly the onion rings had none of the Cajion seasoning just to round of a horrible night here.
Really annoyed at the poor food we were served tonight, as long standing customers we are deeply saddend we have lost our favourite spot to go, will not be back. We are also more than happy to sign a petition to get our...
Read moreWe visited Josh Macs on a Tuesday evening at 5pm, just at opening time. We were greeted and seated to our table promptly. Service was good and with a smile.
Our Drinks order was taken while we decided on our main course. The menu was quite extensive, and typical grill style. Plenty of selection from steaks, ribs, sizzle plates etc. There was also a pizza menu but we were not getting pizza on this occassion.
I opted for the classic chicken stack, that is battered chicken over mash peppered sauce and tobacco onions. My mother ordered the sirloin steak with thick cut chips. The food was very tasty and the service attentive.
We ordered desserts which were just OK, they felt bought in opposed to made in house. I went for the sticky toffee pudding and my mother the chocolate brownie. Every dessert option contained ice cream.

Read moreGot served lukewarm chicken stripes, waitresses did bring me out hot ones after I mentioned to her, also they have changed the chunky chips, these ones had skin on them and had real strong taste of oven chips, i certainly dont want to pay for food in a restaurant that you can buy cheap and get the oven taste in your own house for hell of a lot cheaper!! my daughter couldn't eat her chicken burger from her kids meal said it was awful, when I looked at it seen it was like one of those frozen chicken burgers that only kids under 5 would eat, when paying I mentioned to the woman with very short dark hair, who I think was manager or supervisor, that the chunky chips have obviously been changed, she said that they hadn't, I corrected her that they indeed have as they have skins on them and taste awful, to which she replied "well then the next time you are in you know what NOT TO ORDER!!!
