Papa Browns — Restaurant in Carrickfergus

This is a very busy restaurant the main points to note limited car parking space . As u walk in through the front door of the restaurant first impressions are very good. Friendly help full staff its safe to say customers service is very good too . This restaurant has a 4star hygiene star rating . The toilet facilities are well maintained and are very clean . The food served with in the restaurant is of a very high standard . Staff appearance is quite good but waitresses with long hair should either do one of two thing either wear a hair net or have the hair tied up jewellery the likes of ear rings should be remove during service . There wasn't any visible notice warning of food allergies. The main floor of the restaurant although was clean looks a bit out dated with heavy traffic marks all over the floor which makes the place a little untidy . The booth type seating arrangement within the restaurant give a closed in feeling. It dose not make for an enjoyable dine experience . In spite of all that restaurant serves up good food .would i dine there again yes i would .Would i recommend the PAPA Browns Grill to anymne else...

We were seated right away and our order was taken promptly. The food came out quickly (That is why I gave 2 stars instead of one). All was downhill after that. We ordered a few appetizers to share. The potato skins (there were 2 of them). They should have melted cheese with bacon sprinkled on the top. The first one was an OK mix (not much cheese but did have some) the second one had absolutely no cheese at all (I guess they forgot it?! It’s an important ingredient) It was just a carved out potato with a mountain of bacon piled inside of it. Potato skins are one of my favorite appetizers and these are the worst ones I’ve had. We also ordered the chicken strips which were mostly over cooked and rubbery (there was one larger one that was Ok). We never saw the guy after that he never came back to check on us or ask how the meal was. I guess you pay at the front? We were not sure as no one ever came back or brought a bill to the table so we just walked up to the front and asked for the check. I will also mention, it was NOT busy. The guy that was serving us mostly just stood...

I felt very unsafe around the staff very bad energy, A waitress walked past me and she mustn't of had any deodorant on and knew it herself proceeded to look back at me for a reaction. Asked for meatballs got two balls that literally looked like balls, Woke up to my skin peeling off had a very high temperature, got rashes all over my neck it was very difficult to breathe. Very bad place so overpriced for food that tastes like zebra meat. Ordered a wkd slushie there was no slush just a glass of wkd where was the slush?? Joke of a restaurant Id recommend if you want to get heart failure.They even have dogs inside the restaurant very disappointed as i’ve shown in the photos below. So updating this review a week later, Perhaps this place is evil…. went home and found a letter under my pillow all written in arabic i’m kinda scared … Very weird stuff has been happening to me ever since visiting this restaurant I really wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone I think they have put a curse on me..If I die we all know who to...
