What can I say you walk in and the first thing that hits you is the smell of the wood oven where all the pizzas are cooked. You then get a warm welcome by the waitress who sits you down and offers advice on what to eat if you are unsure. We had the dough balls as recommended and they were a delight, we had a pizza and a calzone thinking they would be a normal size one that is smaller than the plate, they come out on big plates an the pizza fills the plate the calzone is like a towel that's been wrapped up and makes a half moon on the plate accompanied by a small dressing. If you've been to Italy then you know what the pizzas taste like and if you haven't then this is what a traditional Italian pizza is like. They were fantastic, not much choice on desert but the gelato seemed fresh and to be made with actual ingredients and you can taste the flavours, we had 4 pistachio, strawberry, noccolata and vanilla. They do kids size pizzas but are more like individual adults so if your little ones don't eat much I would say get one between them. Great family run restaurants, they have another in Wroxham so if you fancy a proper pizza then I would suggest Donnelli's

Reasonable price for what you get. Very nice service, almost couldn’t believe it’s real ; happy, friendly, happy.! Lunch menu available for as little as £6 with soft drink. You can’t go wrong with this one. I personally tried two pizzas (was offered drink with or without ice) both of them were in my opinion tasty and worth recommending. Not really sure what to think about (presumably owners)kids hanging around unsupervised after 9pm on licensed premises, but hey Norwich is a place where everyone seem to be relaxed and happy. Noir Parmesan or oil were offered despite the fact they call themselves an “Italian” restaurant . Nice warm goodbye and see you soon from lovely staff and I am off to review another place. Good experience

Previously rated 5 stars..... Out of respect for the 50+ pizzas I have had from dennelis which have been delicious, I will give it a 3 star. The two most recent visits I have come out dissapointed. The staff were doing a good job but it's clear that they need another person to assist and tonight I just had one request that it was extra saucey as I am a believer that you should taste the sauce and it was so dry with enlarged dry crusts. Will have a break and review again in 6 months time. PS. The image attached is from a previous visit that was spot on.

We visited here at the weekend prior to a matinee theatre show following a recommendation from friends. To be honest I was expecting something really good but got something pretty poor. The service was extremely slow and lack lustre and the two servers looked totally uninterested. In fact we saw a family arrive and sit at a table and then leave after about 10 mins as they hadn’t been attended too. We were a family of six and ordered six pizzas a round of drinks and some dough balls. We had to ask to order drinks and then again to make our food order. Three pizzas turned up and then we waited about 20 mins for the next three…. The dough balls had been forgotten about. The pizzas were ok but nothing special. So £100 later I felt pretty dissatisfied with both the food and service. It was apparent that the owners were not there so I would say ‘while the cats away’……. There are plenty of good reviews for this restaurant so this may have been a one off but unfortunately I, nor my family will return...

Go with another pizzeria for your delivery, there's loads in Norwich. Here's why… I decided to try out Donnelli's Pizzeria based on their Google Reviews. However, my experience was less than 4.6. Much less. First of all the pizzas arrived 35 later than the original 40 minutes. They were cold, and they were also the wrong pizzas completely. When I called up the restaurant to address the error, she said they knew they gave out the wrong order to Just Eat—but had no way of getting ahold of the delivery rider. Baffling?

IF we wanted a refund (obviously?!) then we would have to contact Just Eat to get £25 back. Here's the best bit, if you place an order with Just Eat as a guest (as-in you don't have an account, and you just want to place an order and get on with your life) then you cannot get a refund as your order will in effect 'not exist' as there is no way to get in contact with customer services to reference an order. It's a bit of a joke. I will DEFINITELY NEVER ORDER FROM...
