Visited here for our anniversary on a Wednesday evening as we wanted to take advantage of the 50% off food offer on Wednesdays. There was an extensive huge alcohol menu, however soft drink menu was more limited (and I had to ask for a soft drinks menu to be given) and I was a bit disappointed to find they didn't do J2o's. We ordered 2 cokes, however they seemed a bit watered down. We would have liked to have tried the cherry bakewell mocktail, but I was put off by the fact it said it contains egg white (which can be dangerous) I had previously queried this on Facebook with them prior to visiting and was told that it DIDN'T contain egg white. When I sent them a screenshot of the menu and asked them to clarify, they never replied so I was left in limbo... I checked the menu again when I got there in case the drink had been changed to what was showing on the online menu, but it was exactly the same, several of the mocktails and cocktails contain egg white. Very confusing to be told it didn't contain it and it wasn't very nice to have my message ignored but never mind...
Food wise we decided to order a selection of the sharing plates and everything was great taste wise. The chicken wings were amazing, we had the bacon jam ones and the jack daniels & coke ones and both of these were very good quality and had fantastic flavours! I would definitely recommend those! The popcorn chicken was also very good, it seemed like it was cooked in their own southern fried batter which made it better than the frozen type you get in some restaurants, however it wasn't very warm which was a bit of a let down unfortunately.... The crispy chilli beef was very nice but again not very warm. The potato bravas was lovely and not too spicy. The home made coleslaw was excellent, definitely one of the best ones I have had. Portion wise everything was great value for being half price, however I would say the crispy chilli beef, popcorn chicken and potato bravas would feel a bit overpriced at full price (between £7.50 - £8.50 each) The chicken wings and coleslaw I feel are worth the full price (£8.50 for the wings and £3.50 for the coleslaw) Full price the 6 food items would have been £44.50 but half price this was £22.25 which feels a lot more reasonable.
Although we did enjoy the taste and flavours of the food, the biggest let down was the service. 3 of our food dishes arrived quite quickly after ordering (within 10 mins) but then we were left without any other dishes for another 10 minutes.... Nothing was said to us in this time, no apology or explanation... Finally after 10 minutes had passed from being given the first 3 dishes, 2 more of our dishes arrived. However, we were still missing another one, and we did not know if this had been forgotten or not. Loads of other people in the restaurant were being served their sharing plate dishes all together, whilst we were just left.... I was about to ask one of the waitresses where our other dish had got to when she came over to ask if we had got everything and was everything okay. I explained we were missing one of our chicken wings portions. She apologised and said she would look into it. These then came out approximately another 10 minutes later, so it seems that this was completely missed... With all the food coming out at random times with such big gaps in between this made the whole meal feel so disjointed and unfortunately effected our enjoyment... I would much rather they didn't rush to bring out those first 3 dishes so quickly, and instead waited until everything was ready so it could be brought out together. Based on our experience I feel that it would have been good business for them to have offered us another dish free of charge as an apology/goodwill gesture, but they didn't and this has left me feeling a bit disappointed.
I would like to go back as I do think the food was very good, but I just hope the service next time would be...
Read moreI didn’t take any pictures of me because you invited me like my brother But I can only say that in this restaurant Or bar I don’t even know how to correctly name this place everything. What I liked there more or less is how the guy who treated us we are served, in fact, the kitchen is terrible, what we ordered does not correspond to any criteria at all and what we ate was just awful, we ate nothing very much for a week in magic and left I was the only one too lazy to take photos because my battery was flat But one thing I can say, I would not recommend people with sensitive stomachs to go to this establishment at all because the beer they gave It was just the coffee water that was brought to us It did not match at all wx300a corresponded to simple elementary some liquid water colored Caesar salad sharp there was more bread than the meat of this bacon, I almost felt apathetic at all and ordered a chicken where they asked us not to They brought meat with spice, but they brought us not only with spice, but they brought us with this smelly sauce which is used in Indian stores or in Indian cuisine, which is simply impossible to eat and therefore Sorry guys, but I would not even put two stars in your restaurant...
Read moreDon't know if we caught them on a bad day or something but the staff would have struggled to care less! I got to the bar just after someone had ordered a large round of cocktails so I expected a bit of a wait, but there was absolutely no acknowledgement of my existence - a quick 'we'll be with you soon' wouldn't have hurt! There were three people serving at the time but gradually two of them disappeared. When I finally got to order I asked for two different cocktails and was informed it's happy hour (how ironic) so I'd get four. I didn't want four - would happily have walked away with just the two I'd ordered but the guy serving just couldn't comprehend this. As for the drinks - not even that...
