Rivolo Lounge — Restaurant in Norwich

Popped in for a cocktail & smoothie with my girlfriend and our cockapoo, the waitress seemed a little stern, but she allowed us to pick our seats and help ourselves to dog biscuits.

We ordered our drinks online and was happy to find it was 2 for 1 on cocktails as it was after 5pm, so we ordered 2, I really wanted a banana & pineapple smoothie but they were out of stock of 2 out of the 3 and I wasn't going to settle for a cucumber smoothie, so went for a strawberry milkshake.

Whilst we waited for drinks I got our dog some dog biscuits and he jumped up on the footstool to be fed, we were then told by the stern waitress that our dog had to stay on the floor which annoyed us a little, as he is very clean and the footstools already had feet marks and a food stain on them already.

The drinks took a little longer than expected, but the cocktails were really nice although the milkshake was far too sweet.

All in all, it was very well presented inside, let down by one fussy member of staff. I couldn't gauge the atmosphere as it was just after 5.30pm so a little too early and quiet. I wouldn't say dog friendly , rather dog...

I popped into this little spot the other night and honestly, it’s just fantastic. I went with a friend, and we had such a great time. The food was spot on - proper hearty portions, really fair prices, and every bite was just lovely. The staff were absolute stars - so friendly and attentive, they made the experience feel really warm and welcoming.

They’ve got board games there too, which I thought was a brilliant little touch if you want to hang about for a bit. The drinks were lovely (the wine especially), and the whole setup was just perfect - warm lighting, good music, and some gorgeous views. I’ve been during the day as well and loved the café setup. Dinner with friends absolutely ruined by a terrible waiter and kitchen not paying attention. Friend was served a shakshuka with huge pieces of eggshell in it, had asked for no coriander and it was absolutely loaded with it in between pieces of shell. Explained the issue to the waiter - who had already spilled a bottle of tonic over one of our party and not apologised or cleaned it up - who told us it would be a long wait for a replacement meal and we'd be better getting a takeaway meal to eat at home because "chefs tired, innit". Eventually got a replacement meal, assured there'd be no coriander, came after everyone else had finished eating and was packed with coriander.
