As a counter to some sad news about restaurants closing I was really pleased to hear the kitchen at the Steam Packet was open and even more importantly could get a table ... The short review is - wow, fantastic.
A great looking drinks menu with some classic aperitifs, enough wines by the glass or bottle for most tastes and pockets and finally some interesting digestifs. The food menu is equally pared back. Olives, Almonds, Bread and butter to snack on, then boquerones, terrine, mackerel or tomato, and goat curd to start. It has 3 local beers on, and 4 keg beers including one especially made for the pub by Lacons In Great Yarmouth.
Canned beers and soft drinks are also available and the staff are incredibly friendly too. It looks really nice inside and certainly...
