DOSA WALA — Restaurant in Nottingham

I went to this restaurant after reading really good reviews online but unfortunately had the worst dining experience of my life! The seating was uncomfortable (my seat was really far from the table so I had to reach to eat). I asked if we could sit on the other side because there was a big group celebrating a birthday and doing speeches but was told that those seats were booked by another group. My family and I felt we were were imposing on a celebration. However, we were hopeful that their food would be really nice but it wasn’t! The masala dosa was soaked in old oil, the chips were cooked in old oil and tasted awful. I felt sick and have not been feeling well since my meal at this restaurant. The toilet hygiene was poor, there was a strong urine smell and there was hair in the sinks! Disappointed and upset that they are serving food at such a poor standard! Surely this restaurant shouldn’t be open? I wouldn’t even give this...

DO NOT go by the reviews. This place was very disappointing in every aspect. Masala dosa was very oily, too crispy and not enough filling. The oil must have been old as it had a bad taste to it. The chips also had the same bad taste. The seats in the booth were uncomfortable and poorly placed. I had to sit on the edge of the seat just to reach the table. And don’t get me started on the toilets. I wish I had gone to the toilet first, because i would have walked straight out without having to go through the experience of tasting the food. Hygiene rating must be a 1. The staff where friendly but a little unorganised and inexperienced. It was a shame as the mushroom manchurian was actually quite tasty. However the paneer dish didn’t come out until the end by which I was feeling sick. So I didn’t eat it. Dosawalia please show some pride in your work. Clean your toilets and change the oil...

My family had visited this place multiple times. Wonderful dining experience. Exceptional food taste. Authentic south Indian food. My wife and myself had set dosas with 4 different freshly made chutneys. Also we had uthapams which was fantastically made. Mutton Chukka was too brilliant. I find some of poor reviews published are in bad taste and it seems like those reviews are coming from this restaurants competitors; that too those who have never visited this spot! Those relating to the oil, poor customer service are completely false.
