I'm not very happy with my service here today. I rang to book 2 tables for my staff and service users I was told to book one n ring back n book other and that tables couldn't be close together, which is fine due to covid rules we understood this. We then get asked if we are all from same household which we are we come here every week with our service users as this is where they like to come. Then the manager on shift asked to have a private word., this was after we had paid for our meals, he then went on to tell me that we have broke the law by being more than six baring in mind when rang this was told on phone and was then told to book 2 tables away from each other, which is what we did. If this was such a big problem to him then why would he allow us to order food and take our money? He then went on to say we aren't allowed to bring our service users anymore until the covid restrictions have been lifted. This will cause upset to our service users who have learning disabilities as this is their go to place every week. We have never had any problems in the past and think this is just bang out of order considering that they knew from the phone call how many and when we all seated apart they also asked us questions to which showed how many of us there was, this has made us believe that they just wanted our money. Also following a phone call after the meal we was told it was due to one staff not wearing a mask to ask for water but it was forgotten and he apologised and seated and next time he got up he wore a mask.
Really disappointed in the manager on shift at lunch and would like this resolved properly!!!
Reply.... You said noone was allowed back until after restrictions had been lifted... Like I just stated! And u didn't get abused you was simply told how unhappy the staff and service users were tht u knew from get go and still let us eat and then tell us to not come back until after the restrictions are lifted! The one man forgot his mask when asking for water like many people have tht is it he didn't walk around the pub without it on it owas one occasionand 1 person from our table did the track and trace like asked like every time we come in it's always 1 person tht does it from our group! You broke the law by letting us in then punish us for it!
I'm glad my service users are allowed to still eat here doesn't bother me if I'm not, your problem is on paper the reciept shows u fed 8 people as we paid as a whole so u broke the law as a...
Read moreI'm not one to ever complain I honestly cringe when any of my party send food back however today being an exception. So yes it's the bank holiday and yes we booked and yes we booked a wheel chair disabled access table on the booking request. So we were seated and orders taken a little slow but bank hol was a little busy staff were ran off their feet 2 staff for the 20 odd tables , ordered mini roast and a few burgers and cauliflower tart nothing fancy the food came every single plate of food cold and the roasts the Yorkshires had been clearly microwaved and gone rock hard and crumbly, we did call waiter explained cold chips and food he replaced some in hindsight we should have just returned it as the more we ate the more we noticed was cold it was disgusting. Then the wheelchair kept being bashed into as the table they gave us was directly opposite there waiting station bit and when people were queuing to be seated and people wanted to pass they automatically walked into our elderly grandad and at one point a wheeled mobility scooter came past quickly and hooked onto the wheelchair goin way too fast and pulled the wheelchair along with it leaving my grandad having an anxiety attack it was awful to watch and distressed my children I definitely think mobility scooters should have restrictions in places like this he was going way to fast . The pudding for a fiver was microwaved mush they called brownie it was awful and I rejected it after a mouthful no more brownies left they offered bakewell's I said is that heated ...yes its warmed in microwave yack no thanks so I didn't bother the whole thing was disgusting and a waste of a bank holiday defo wont be back and defo wouldn't recommend this is the first time ever I've been compelled to review as it was just so bad and not particularly busy considering how big it is there were...
Read moreWouldnt even give it 1 star!!!! Booked a table for 16, 10 adults 6 children, as it was a big table we were asked to pre order.. the table was booked for 6 and the food didnt come out until 7.30.. we asked for kids food to come out first and had 2 kids including the birthday boy sat watching the others eat almost 15 minutes later.. adults food eventually came and every adult meal exluding 2 came out cold, under or overcooked, some food didnt come out at all was completely missing, nearly all of the food was out at this point bar one meal to then be told that part of the meal wasnt available, when this persons food came it was undercooked and with the dish being salmon this is a major health concern.. the cod was also extremely undercooked. Service staff handled the issue as well as they could, they seemed a little lost in what they were doing as the Manager was apparently hiding in the flat leaving the staff to deal with it. We was told that the kitchen staff have been barred and are taking it out on peoples food. The young girl who was trying to deal with it seemed so stressed as other people in the pub were also complaining this was not fair on her and a manager should of been there to assist
^^ also just noticed the review above mine, written 30 minutes after mine, just searched the guys name on social media and its the girl who served mes partner.....
