Caprinos Pizza Oxford Cowley — Restaurant in Oxford

I ordered three shawarmas last Saturday night from Caprinos Pizza Cowley via Just Eat. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing and felt like cheating. I specifically ordered three different flavors: kebab shawarma, barbecue shawarma, and chicken shawarma. While the kebab shawarma was acceptable, the other two chicken shawarmas were identical—they both used the same fried chicken, with the only difference being the sauce. The barbecue shawarma just had barbecue sauce, and the other chicken shawarma had a different sauce.

This is misleading. If you advertise a barbecue shawarma, it should contain barbecue chicken, not fried chicken with a random sauce. The flavor and authenticity were completely missing, leaving me very dissatisfied.

On the positive side, the delivery was on time, and the driver was professional and friendly. The free chocolate pizza included with the delivery was a nice touch, but I would strongly suggest that you focus on delivering exactly what the customer orders rather than trying to compensate with free items for customer attraction.

Ordered online via Uber eats.

1 donner Warps, 1 chicken Shawarma wrap, 1 loaded donner and chips and 1 loaded chicken chips.

All were overdone with sauce or mayo, totally kills any flavour if any, not much meat in any of the wraps loaded with salad, fries and sauce.

Ideally if they gave options to add sauce or not would be great. If I ordered donner or chicken loaded chips I'd expect good amount of meat to chips ratio but its soggy chips with minimal meat but loads of sauce :(.

Same goes for the donner or chicken wraps, little meat but loads of salad and sauce. When I did taste a little meat on its own its flavourless and spongy which was odd, I feel the sauce and Jalapeno peppers are hiding the flavourless meat in my opinion.

Sorry had high hopes for this place but was disappointed.

I've not tried pizzas at all maybe that is where they shine...

We waited 1h28 for our order. We tried calling the Cowley store twice to find out where our order was, but there was no answer. So we then called the Headington store instead. We tried to cancel the order as it had taken so long but they wouldn’t allow it. We then tried to get a refund or free pizza in future and they refused to commit to any compensation. The quality of the pizza is no better than the quality of the service. I am open minded to “takeaway” pizza but this was like a Tesco pizza base with toppings! Hours later, I contacted them directly by email to give them the opportunity to rectify this issue - but the email has been ignored for a week....
