Plassey Fish Bar — Restaurant in Penarth

Last Saturday popped up to get fish and chips. I was served by the owners son and he was very polite. How ever when I took my chips back because they were verging on ridiculously cold. He said to me that he would change the chips this time because it was my fault and my attitude was crap. Well he flicked my switch and I went from east to west in a split second. He then told me he would pay me £5 and a bag of chips to leave. My face started to twitch and isaid that bribery is illegal...so I left with another bag of chips. When I got home they were worse than the first bag. Surely selling cooked food thats supposed to be hot, and is not is a job for trading standards. And it looks like the tabards are passed arround by all the staff because...

We were not disappointed. "Thursday 17/02/2022" Prior to carrying out a six mile walk from Penarth to the Cardiff bay area via the barrage and back I checked the reviews for fish & chip shops within the Penarth area. Plassey FB according to the reviews was one of the Fish & chip shops recommended. After completing our walk we drove to the PFB and my sister and I both ordered the same, a Cod & chips lunch and we requested cutlery. Promptly making our way to the Penarth Pier, we demolished the lot. Both the chips and fish were lovely and hot, the fish was full of flavour and the batter was crunchy. The golden fried chips were soft within and crispy on the outside. The ultimate in comfort food. And what a great end to a perfect...

I am devasted how standards have dropped! Ordered food online to be collected 35 mins after i placed order, 10 mins later recieved message food ready to be collected! I was nowhere near shop called and said i ordered for a certain time, they tried to tell me that i had ordered for straight away! Why would i when i was 35mins away? Told that my food would be done fresh! When i collected food and got it home it was obvious that my food had been microwaved to be heated up! This is not the first time i have had bad service and food missing from my order. I used to use this chip shop several times a week but i have watched standards drop.
