Great food at fair prices!

Update a year on: This place is just so good. The staff are amazing, polite, and helpful. An example of which is that today (18/10/2024), I took my wife and newborn son up there, but there was nowhere to put a pram. So a member of staff came over and locked the 2nd door so they could turn that area into parking for the pram. It was so helpful and meant we could relax and enjoy the food.

Which, by the way, is amazing itself. I had a fry up, and my wife had cheesy chips, no issues with food quality.

The only thing in my opinion that lets the side down is how loud it gets in here from people and dogs, I have no personal issue with dogs, but some owners won't take them outside if they bark which didnt happen this time but has happened in the past. If management had a rule of no "barking," dogs are allowed. This would be (in my opinion) the perfect...

There are few cafes in the local area, or any other area for that matter, that can boast the kinds of views that are available at the Jennycliff Cafe. For those fortunate enough to be seated near the window, the sight of the sun shining out over the Jennycliff and Rum Bays might just take your attention long enough to cool your lunch.

For those that are visiting Jennycliff to walk their dog will be pleased to find that the cafe is dog-friendly for well-behaved animals so that you can savor a moments rest after an energetic ‘w-a-l-k’.

Prices are reasonable, range is impressive, portions are generous, and the quality of the food leaves little to be desired. One of the only downsides off the cafe are the hours which are well-suited for morning strolls, but less accommodating for those looking to take an evening...

It's been a while since I last visited and today I was reminded why. The food here is not bad for a "greasy spoon" café but, my goodness, the place is filthy! I wasn't overly impressed with the 3 star hygiene rating on the door to start. There is an unpleasant odour as soon as you enter. We were there fairly early, yet floor looked like it hasn't been cleaned for ages. Covered in dog fur, bits of food and lots of unidentified bits and bobs. Our table was really dirty and the mugs were dirty too. We did quite enjoy the breakfast, although the extra cost for toast and a drink quickly made it fairly expensive, and I had to try and stop imagining how dirty the plate probably was under the food. The view is really nice, but I think it will be a while before I try this place again. A shame really as this could be a...

Wow that was quick, I ordered a belly buster breakfast and within 5 minutes the food was on my table and very nice it was too, a remote cafe that offers a range of cooked food at a very reasonable price. With amazing views of Plymouth and Drakes Island I would definitely recommend popping in if your in the area. It's also a great location if you are in Plymouth looking for somewhere to watch the fireworks championships. The café is family and dog friendly (if well behaved) with helpful and lovely staff. Some outside seating is available although it is nearly always windy as it's quite exposed.

Lovely little café that for some reason the owners have never really maximised the potential of; still, it doesn’t stop the customers coming in their droves for a seat with a view and the food is always of a most acceptable nature, think jacket potatoes, club sandwiches etc. Free parking right next to it. The staff literally can’t wait to close the place each day, so don’t bother going there for food after 3pm; but it is undeniably a lovely setting to take a seat and watch the world go by
