What a change over time, we went for lunch and although the food was tasty and hot, it was served quickly and the staff friendly. BUT the portions have drastically shrunk, wife had a burger with fries, we thought it was a child's meal to start with, it must have taken them some time to source a roll and burger that small. Normally you would get a bit of salad or coleslaw, but not anymore, this was served on a large plate, but a tea plate would have been more appropriate. I had a steak with fries it was of reasonable size but only a dozen fries, where you would normally expect peas there was nothing. Once again this could have been served on a lot smaller plate. On checking if you want anything that would have come with your meal you have to pay extra. So if you eat here you need to add a couple of £ to the stated meal to get a proper one. As we do not eat out often it will be interesting to see if they all do this now. The desert was poor we had the millionaires shortbread, all that was is two scoops of vanilla ice cream a miniscule drizzle of sauce and a quarter of shortbread biscuit crumbled into it. Certainly will not do that again.
