Was going to go to this place today for a roast as I live locally, checked on website to see if they are dog friendly, as had my dog, and as you can see the website states they are dog friendly. Walked in with our dog and you would have thought we'd shot someone's grandmother, a couple sat at the bar glanced over their shoulder at us and then Landlady come running from behind the bar towards us, saying you can't bring dogs in here, when we said the website said you could, she said no we've never had dogs in here, the way she went about it, made us feel like a piece of poo. We will not be going back, and they need to update their website. However, when I asked if I could have gravy I was told there was plenty in the steak and ale pie I had ordered... I'm from Yorkshire. There's never enough gravy. Then when ordering pudding st 8.42 we were told the kitchen was closed. The explanation was that someone else had come in ordering food and they had turned them away as "The chefs have left.
