Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Portsmouth

Came in after a busy Saturday park run and was so impressed with the service from Abby! She was incredibly helpful and polite when taking our drinks order. We went for an oat milk gingerbread frappe and a vanilla frappe – both a little on the complicated side and time-consuming to make – but Abby handled it perfectly.

She was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was exactly how we wanted. The drinks were beautifully presented and tasted amazing. I really appreciate the time and care she put into making them, especially knowing they’re not the easiest!

Not happy with server on till.lads First name refused to be given. When we arrived dirty cups still on only availible table, but we wanted a coffee so moved ourselves. My daughter went up to order coffee, wearing a mask .she has had a kidney transplant, and is classed as immune vunerable. The server behind the counter was rude to her, saying he could not understand what she was saying, and not to shout as she was wearing mask. My daughter came back to me most upset, I went to challange him, but he had gone into private office. I open door to witness him laughing and joking telling fellow workmates about the incident. Regular users here staff great helpful and always welcoming. To be honest never found the place dirty as been suggested, always busy but it seems everyone knows there job. One complaint however. As we visit nearly every other day,have noticed there are now no newspapers ! Been told some people take them home, so this feature has been stopped. Come on Costa your talking about £3 a day .....not many places offer this facility....some do though. ! Please as a thank you to your customers, this little but important nicety should be resumed.
