So I have always had the curtsy of ordering Chinese food from the Da Garden for just about six months for which I become a valid and known customer when I call in to make my order until one day things changed. One Saturday I call the business line to make my regular order to the owners which I had a little twist rather than me coming to pick up or they delivering to my address I told them I’ll send an Uber to pick up for which I they then said that they will need more time to prepare as they were very busy that Saturday evening. I said ok, and I’ll asked how long it will take to prepare my order, I was told say about 30 minutes there about. I call back about 40 mins later I was told it’s almost done and in 15 mins more…. I said ok kool. After an extra 15 mins I called and I was told it’s ready for pick up, I then spoke to the Asian lady and told her an Uber driver will come and collect she said ok. It was picked up and delivered to my address of work as I requested, on arrival of my order i realized it was the same as to what I normally gets I then dive in and realize even more that the tastes was a bit off as i order spare ribs on Barbara sauce and chicken chow-min…. I immediately rang them back an expressed my dissatisfaction and was told sorry but it was due to a change of the type of Barbara sauce as they tried a new one also i informed them that the chow-min was under cooked and I can’t eat hay was sent. The guy who perhaps cooked the meal then agreed to refund me and apologized.
About a few days later I requested I rang them and tried to place my order again then only to be told that they aren’t doing anymore business with me as i called in and told them how I was dissatisfied with the food they sent so they aren’t doing anymore business with me. Now people tell me is this right? Anyways I found a better Chinese takeaway that offer better food and better customer service not to far from theres...
Read moreThe food arrived looking like it had survived a minor oil spill. Everything was so salty, I thought I’d accidentally ordered from the Dead Sea. I don’t know who’s in the kitchen now, but either they’ve lost all sense of taste or they’re actively trying to punish us.
What used to be crispy is now limp and soggy, what used to be flavourful is now just “grease with texture,” and what used to be our trusted Friday night treat is now a gastric regret I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy.
If this is under new management, congratulations — you’ve managed to destroy years of loyalty in one night. If it’s the same kitchen, then someone needs to check if they’re okay. Seriously. This isn’t food. It’s a cry for help wrapped in foil containers.
Never again. I’d sooner eat instant noodles with my eyes closed than risk...
Read moreOrdered through uber eats. Food was awful. Inedible, so sweet. My chilli chicken just tasted of sugar. The sweet and sour chicken balls were also so sweet. Every other dish just tasted like the chef got sugar and salt confused. The duck hardly had any meat on it. Most expensive Chinese I have had around Portsmouth and 90% of it when in the bin. Then it came to a couple hours later and my wife has stomach ache and spends the rest of the night on the toilet.
Uber eats customer service was awful fixing the issue aswell. Saying that the food is made to speck so no refund allowed. Didn’t realise their speck is food poisoning and sugar overdose. Stay well away...
