Delight Cafe — Restaurant in Portsmouth

Just moved into an office nearby, and was peckish one afternoon so the wife and I took a look around for somewhere nearby to grab a bite. Parking can be a challenge along Copnor Road, and we ended up parked near another cafe, but the wife didn't like the look of it, so we decided to see if there was anywhere else. In the next row of shops, we found Coffee & Co, a clean and tidy looking place with friendly and helpful staff. Although they have tasty, fresh salads and home made cakes, we both fancied a panini - the wife had a tuna melt and I had the one they do with ham, cheese, tomato, peppers and Dijon mustard. Both were lovely and went down a treat so, the following week, we took two colleagues along for lunch and everyone was impressed with the food. I have eaten here several times & enjoyed the freshness well presented food they offer..However I took a friend telling her how nice it was ..I ordered the garlic chicken baguette with all extras salad plus chips & a Turkish coffee with a brownie…it took 30 mins to turn up , others served before us bit odd ???...My friend ordered a cheese & ham toastie which unfortunately was not ..The ham was cheap & slimy she didn’t finish it .. Super friendly, professional and eager to please. Prices are modest and good value for what you get. Presentation was superb, you could tell effort was put into every plate for visual satisfaction, and it didn't fail on taste factor either! Really tasty, good size portions (didn't feel robbed, or overloaded). I just felt bad that we couldn't tip more as it was so well deserved. Overall, I'd say this is a cute local café that I'd definitely return to and support in the future, as they are still only recently open. Left with a full stomach...
